Australia / McCaughan family to Adelaide from Belfast in May 1958
« on: Saturday 09 September 17 04:01 BST (UK)  »
Looking for son and son's family, of Henry McCaughan (died 22Jan1963) Belfast. They arrived at Freemantle and went to Elder Hostel, Adelaide in May 1958. There was the son, his wife and two children. I have their names, date of birth but will not list them here because they are likely still living.
They are part of a McCaughan family to which I am related. Any help by PM will greatly appreciated.

Sorry.

Clydesdale Road starts in Bellshill and goes toward Holytown. I think it may be called Clydesdale Street in Holytown. It starts at the roundabout at Calder Road in Bellshill.

I am looking for any living relative of George Thompson and his wife Mary Jane Thompson nee McCaughan. George Thompson died 13Sept1930. He was living at 25 Clydesdale Road and his son George Thompson was present. Mary Jane Thompson died 03Sept1949. She was living at 43 Clydesdale Road and her son John Thompson was present.
George was a steelworker and lived at several addresses along Clydesdale Road. He and Mary Jane were born in Ireland as were several of their children. They had 14 children but only 7 were living in 1911.
If you know anything about this family, please PM me.

Antrim / Re: Kerevaugh Masonic Lodge, County Antrim

Thank you all for the help!

I think Carrowreagh is a very good possibility. Close to Drumnaheigh and Mosside.
Kerevaugh could indeed be a corruption of Carrowreagh. The fact that a warrant was issued there is more indication that is the one.

Hope to make a return visit to Bushmills early next year.

Thanks again!

Anyone know the location of this Masonic Lodge?

Kerevaugh Masonic Lodge, County Antrim.

John McCahan who lived in Drumnaheigh in 1792 took a demit from the Kerevaugh Masonic Lodge in May 1792 and traveled to America in August 1792.
