Ireland / Andrews/Adams

I'm stuck!!! Wondering if anyone can help me.  I have traced my family back as far as my GGG grandparents and can't seem to get back any further. My GGG grandfather was James Andrews born around 1815 Ireland and he married Margaret Adams in 1847 Dalry Scotland.  Margaret was born around 1824, Ireland and her parents were William Adams and ? Donnelly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Julie

I have found out that Elmer Kunze was born in us. I was wondering if anyone could me find information on his mother Anna Albrecht born 1878 Germany or his grandparents Karl Kunze and Nancy Freeman
I would appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks Julie

Thanks for all your help. This is definitely the right family.  I am doing this research for my father in law, who is not very handy with a computer. He is hoping to trace his family roots back as far as he can and put together a family tree. Find out who his ancestors were and where they came from.  He also was hoping to find information on his half brother, (*) the only thing he knows about him is that he was born in Missouri to Elmer and Mary Kunze in the late 1930's or early 40's. Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.
Julie

Hi Sancti   I do have the 1851 census and have them both born in Ireland, I also have James Andrews death cert. but the parent's names are blank. So I have had no luck getting any further back with him. I have been checking the clans and have found nothing on where the name originated from or what clan it is associated with.
Thanks Julie

Thanks for your help! The link you gave me was very helpful.  If the Andrews didn't have their own clan, would they be part of another larger clan.  I have found reference to them being associated with several clans, so I'm not sure where they fit in.  My Andrews family came to scotland in the 1840's, so I'm wondering if the Andrews is an Irish name.
Thanks again for your help, this is such a wonderful site with so many helpful people.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me where I would find information on the Andrews name.  I have searched a number of sites and have come up with a variety of clans for the Andrews.  I am interested in what my tartan and the crest would be.
I would greatly appreciate any help, I'm finding it very confusing.
Thanks

Hi Kym

I've checked my records and I don't see a George Fenwick, not to say there isn't a connection somewhere, I'll let you know if anything comes up.
