Clare / McEnery/Kierce, corofin and Ennis
« on: Tuesday 11 October 22 12:53 BST (UK)  »
Ellen Kierce/Kierse/Kearse married William McEnery about 1865, maybe in Corofin.
Ellen is in 1901 census in Ennis, but it says mother Bridget Hayse (80) with family. Can anybody throw any light on this family. I have all other family details.

I am sorry I was not more specific in my first post.
I am looking to find living relatives or even if anybody knows how I might find them. I don't speak the language so it is not possible for me to post on a Dutch notice board

Thank you TreeSpirit for all that information. I did have some of that already.
I do know the South African story of Marianus and Johnna (d 1991). But the SA family have lost contact with the Dutch side of the family, so I am hoping that some of the family who remained at home in Amsterdam or elsewhere will contact me.
Hermanus had a brother Jan Hendrik who married Geertruida Margaretha de Vries. Perhaps some of their grandchildren might know of their cousins tpp.
You can contact me here or by pm
Thanks again

Thank you Forforian, yes I do have all the Irish records, as I live near there. I am really trying to find any remaining Forde descendants in Scotland. There were 10 children in total. Some emigrated to Massachusetts. Charles had also been in Scotland before emigrating. It think their mother Julia may have emigrated to Scotland too, but I have not found a suitable death. Is there a graveyard in Calderbank, or would their burials be in St Peter's Dalbeth?

Thank you to all the new posts.
Monica that is a very interesting find about death of Rose in 1917. I had seen that death, but did not know the maiden name. There is a death of child named Rose in 1919, but I don't know which family she is from, but age given as 0.I do have the parents names and the birth dates. I only found 2 children for Bartholomew and Rose: Julia 1913 and Elizabeth 1916
Bartholomew is actually Nov 1876. I think this is probably the Bartholomew who died in 1934 (ref Don). The Bartholomew who died in 1977 is probably a son of Timothy. Patrick also had a son Bartholomew but he emigrated with the rest of his family in 1926.
Thanks for all your help,
Mary

Thank you to EV and DonM for that useful information. The Forde/Ford name may not have continued up to the present day I suppose.

Margaret and Bridget Green from Calderbank married Patrick (m 1900) and Timothy Forde (m 1904).
Looking to contact any present day descendants of these families that may still live in Scotland.
Patrick & Margaret Forde emigrated to USA in 1926. Timothy remained in Scotland and died there in 1930. Another brother Bartholomew Forde married Rosea Gallogly in 1912. The Forde brothers were from Co Cork Ireland. All their children were baptised in Chapelhall parish. Any information welcome.
