Just to keep this thread going. I have found another candidate. In the 1921 Census for Ardgowan Street, Calton, Glasgow. Elizabeth McDougall, 22, born Glasgow, Chocolate Packer. Further along where it gives you where they worked. It is coming up with Rurco chocolate factory. Or that is what it looks like. So if anyone has any ideas of where it was located in 1921.

Elijah Davies born 6th May 1906 at 38 Lochburn Road, Glasgow. He was the child of Elijah Davies and Elizabeth Darling. Elijah 1906 married on 26th April 1935 at Cowcaddens Church, Milton, Glasgow. Elijah aged 28 resided at 38 Lochburn Road, Glasgow. The lady that he married resided at 53 Dunblane Street, Glasgow. The lady's name being Barbara Susan Ann Grant Ewing Martin.
Barbara's parents were Andrew Martin, Mason, Deceased and Jeanie Duncan Wylie.
Elijah died on 29th June 1951 at 16 Fernie Street, Maryhill, Glasgow aged 45.

Elijah 1906 and Barbara had a child called Elijah Davies born 1936 Milton, Glasgow.
Elijah 1936 married Hazel Anderson in Dumfries in 1957. Elijah died in 2014 at Dumfries aged 77.

That's about three or four generations all with the same name. Elijah Davies. No wonder it gets confusing trying to follow them around in your family tree.

doddsie4, Do you think this might be the Elijah Davies 1899 to 1944 who married Janet McArthur Fawcett? He was residing at 1930 in Blythswood when his twin sons were born. Then I think he went to Lasswade where his daughter was born in 1933.
As that other Elijah Davies who resided at 38 Lochburn Road died in 1923.

Janet Annie McArthur Davies married William Paterson Gillies in 1952 in Penicuik. William was born 1928 Glencorse, Midlothian. William died aged 92 in 2020 at Edinburgh.

You are doing well in finding them Kloumann. It is a pity that Maisie who posted the original query in 2018 hasn't been back on. As she would certainly have been related to my Mum's Davies line.
