Hi,

Thank-you to everyone for your help. My grandmother was born in Wallis yard Workhouse. But I cannot find her on the 1911 census.
But found a 5 week female in this hospital, that could tie in with my grandmother. Her mother is not there though.
Do you think this hospital was a holding place aswell? For maybe fostering?

Does anyone know any info regarding St Monica's Maternity Home at Bramerton St, Chelsea. A church of England. Closed in 1920.

Any information would be greatly received.

This is the family I have been following as Caroline being Elizabeth Caroline.
1901 census

A William White as border. I know this is a uncle, according to my mother.Born 1879. Don;t know how he fits in?

Thank-you for your reply. In the 1851 census he was born hoveham Sussex.
1871, he was born hampshire.
