Sussex Lookup Requests / Re: Hove Cemetery.
« on: Tuesday 06 April 21 11:18 BST (UK)  »
Sorry Jo, just browsing the site and wondered if you had any luck with this query? I live just around the corner from Hove cemetery and can take a photo of a grave if needed?

Hi

Sorry, just browsing and saw this ... the old home is shown on the 1912 OS map quite clearly.

FH Documents and Artefacts / Metal plate trademark
« on: Monday 01 June 20 16:26 BST (UK)  »
Apologies if this is not really suitable for this forum, and if this is the case, happy if anyone could signpost me elsewhere.

Found this on a walk on the Sussex Downs. The initial excitement and over zealous interpretation of the lettering as runes and that this was the side-plate of a Viking helmet soon subsided, and thought it more probably a piece of late 19th/20th century farm machinery. But I can't find anything relating to the interesting lettering/logo/trademark and wondered if anyone might be able to help?

Fantastic emelton, thank you! It's tricky as their surname is recorded differently each time - but this gives us something better to work on so thank you. I wonder if we'll be able to discover who Anna married?

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help please. We're trying to find out more about Anna O'Hora (Born 27.9.1851), Father - Anthony O’Hora and Mother - Mary O’Hora (formerly Tarpey) of 44 London Prentice Street, Birmingham (from Birth certificate). We just can't seem to find anything about the family or Anna?

We think Anna maybe married a Partridge but have no evidence?

Any help appreciated

Many thanks

Dear friends, I am so sorry, but I have no idea what happened and I just got diverted by the usual rubbish of daily life ... if anyone is still connected to this thread it would be lovely to try and clarify the links to the Kennedy/Stapleton/Leamy family tree. Sadly I am no genealogist but I've tried to connect the dots of the links here and attached a very rough rudimentary tree ... please have a look and let me know corrections, and I certainly won't be offended if someone can make a better job of the tree. here is hoping ... Thanks Sinann and yes aware of the role of Jacobs in 1916. The 1926 reference threw me but guess that's a typo? All good ....
