Perhaps there was another marriage but George's cert would be a good idea

Louisa  Maud

Thankyou, yes it would. Everything is looking like her maiden name was originally Perryman though. Very strange!

Wow, thankyou everyone. That us quite a surprise. Why does it say on her marriage cert that her fathers name was William Harris  ??? So confused.

But this all makes alot of sense as to why I couldn't find anything

The  1861/71  censuses list him as born in Tewkesbury.   I wonder if this could be him in 1841  :-\   Added -on the image father Richard is listed as a Hosier

Thanks :) yes you might be right.

I didn't realise 1851 census had him as born in doresetshire!

On 5th April 1846, at St Mary Haggerston, Hackney. Henry Butt married a widow named Sarah Hewiit. Her father was William Harris so that is her maiden name I assume  :)

I'm having trouble tracking her first marriage and her in the 1841 census. Henry and Sarah lived in Shoreditch in 1851 and 1861, they had three children,  Henry, John and Charles.

The records are probably really obvious but I'm just not finding them for some reason. From the census it says that she was born abt 1816 so I'm guessing around 1840?? For a first short lived marriage.

I'm looking for a birth record for a Henry Butt born around 1822 in Tewkesbury. His fathers name was Richard. Henry married a Sarah Harris in 1846 in Hackney, London. They has 3 son, Henry, John and Charles.  In 1851 he lived in Islington.

I cant find a birth record on ancestry or family search.

Even if you don't know names I find searching by location very useful
The magnifying glass gives you choice of searching by surname or location
For example 1 maternalgreat grandfather was from Bugbrooke in Northamptonshire
I typed exact village and got 5th cousins matches 1 lady had a big tree and we share our 5x gparents So worked out who linked us tho she didn't have my grandmothers grandfather  nimrod on her tree but had his parents ....always useful to add all siblings ....on each generation.

Other great grandfather was from Latvian found 4th and 5th cousin in America  with no name shares because they didn't know maiden name of grandmother or great grandmother
We were linked thru his half sisters so we come out as 5th cousins but are actually 4th ....sharing 1 great grandparent not two

1 lady had the great grandfather's name and photos of him ...I was able to give her their Russian history back several generations and 1901census in uk and school records

That's quite a good idea. Do you have to be a subscriber to do this? I've noticed that you have to be a subscriber to get the full benefits of the DNA test. I was a long time subscriber but I reached a point in my tree I wasn't using ancestry that much so i cancelled. I may subscribe short term to see what my connections are to my matches
