World War Two / 'Royal Air Force Alfred Arthur Snook. Redfield, Bristol
« on: Sunday 04 October 20 17:00 BST (UK)  »
Hi, is there anyone who can help me. I own a WWII crew photo. The photo shows the fallen RAF man Alfred Arthur Snook. He is buried in Paris (Poix de Picardie). He came from Redfield (Bristol). I would like to learn more about the life of this soldier. I already know how and where he died. However, I would like to know a little more about his daily life. Anyone who can help me? Maybe a local history club in Redfield? Anyway, thank you for your help.

 :) Hi there,
First of all a happy New Year!
Is there anyone who could help me?
I'm doing research about the fallen airmen in my native town Kaggevinne.
I'm even writing a book about this event. It's my second.
I found out that somewhere in the cemetery of Hertford, on the grave of a family named Garrod, there must be a plaque commemorating Ralph's Garrod’s death on the family grave, and it refers to him being buried in Kaggevinne (Belgium). Is there anyone of yours who can take some picture of this memorial plaque? On a high resolution and of a good quality? It is to illustrate my book with. I mentioned your name there.  Give credit where credit is due.

Armed Forces / Passengerlist
« on: Thursday 24 August 17 14:14 BST (UK)  »
Hi there, is there anyone who can help me? I'm searching the passenger list of the (ship for the Swedish American Line) Drottingholm from 1943. I'm doing research about a certain Thomas Patterson, born August 10, 1914. He was a prisoner of war and was repatriated from Stalag XXI/A on 14/10/1943 via Göteborg  (Sweden) , as prisoner of war N° 7168. His destination was England. I'm not quite sure if it may have been the Drottingholm. Some speak of Gripsholm, but this was more for America I thought.

Many thanks in advance ,
Luc

« on: Tuesday 02 April 13 20:10 BST (UK)  »
Hi there. I would be grateful if anyone had any information about Thomas Patterson .

Thomas Patterson was born at Liverpool 10Th August 1914 in Liverpool.
More than probably he died in the Australie .
I don't know if he was remarried or not . He divorced from Dora Mallinson in the UK .
The ship pingslists are rather brief in detail.

Thank You in advance ,
Luc
