Armagh / Hamill Family Portadown
« on: Tuesday 05 September 23 21:24 BST (UK)  »
Firstly I want to say I have posted about this before but it was under a different heading which somewhat confused the situation. But in essence it is about the following family that of Patrick Hamill and Anne Hamill either nee Carr/Kerr. whose family was as follows Mary, Teresa, Ann, and Thomas Hamill. The point being my great grandmother was Teresa.

This is some info I got but can't confirm made up of snippets from Pensar Records and possible connections to them.

Patrick Hamill and Anne Hamill (Carr/Kerr) Breagh Tartaraghan O’Neill and West Armagh.
Patrick approx age 71 1851 census.

Teresa (Hamill) McCann parents married 1841 Teresa age 6. So if Teresa was aged 6 this would give her birth year as about 1847/48

Pensar
Hamill’s as follows children are Mary, Teresa, Ann, and Thomas. Mary born 26th November 1866. Sorry for the way this is formed but this is the way it was given.

I have tried in vain to confirm this but no joy. So I would be grateful for someone with a bit more expertise to review this to see if I am missing something. Hopefully with more success then me. Thanks in advance of any help

Ireland / Help needed with Sullivan/McCann/Fisher connections
« on: Tuesday 08 October 19 21:06 BST (UK)  »
I am hoping that someone can help with finding information on Katie/Catherine/Katherine Sullivan later to marry a man called F Fisher.

She was the daughter of Elizabeth nee McCann Sullivan who was married to a John Sullivan in St Patrick’s Church, Jersey City, Hudson, New Jersey on the 3rd of July 1887. Elizabeth’s age is given as 25 John’s age was given as 27.

John was born about 1860 somewhere in Ireland.

Elizabeth was born in Portadown Ireland on the 3rd August 1855. Although her age at the time of her marriage is wrong being 25, she around aged 32. I am hoping that someone can throw some light on this request. Ihad posted this message on the USA section but I am hoping that there might be help at the Ireland section with this.

Thanks for any help afforded.

« on: Monday 17 December 18 19:30 GMT (UK)  »
I am looking for any information on Francis McCann Royal Irish Fusiliers number 5315. I was able to obtain his medal card but as you may know it gives very little information in regards to do with his address or other information. It was also the case that Army personnel have no record for him. Any help in regards information on him would be of great help to me.

Hopefully this site might be of aid to my search for any personal details on him.

Antrim / Looking for help with marriage for Thomas McKinley Martha Hughes McKinley
« on: Monday 24 October 16 22:17 BST (UK)  »
I'm looking to find any information on the marriage of a Thomas McKinley to a Martha Hughes. When? I don't know but he was born around 1842 and she was born around 1847. What I would like to find out is his fathers name and where he was born and anything else about them. I know he was a plumber as I found him in the 1901 census in Belfast in Fox Street East Belfast. But it would help me if I knew his fathers name and origin.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Regards

Mack
