« on: Tuesday 18 April 23 08:16 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I am trying to find pictures of the electricity board houses that were on St Johns Street in Northampton from the 1950s to 1960s time.
My great grandparents lived in one and I have been trying to find a picture but have had no luck. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful  :)

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Kaupawich
« on: Monday 25 February 19 03:30 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to find info on a Sarah Ellen Kaupawich who was born 12 April 1894 according to her death registration and married Walter J Smith in Coventry sometime in 1925. Sarah was the 2nd wife of my great grandfather Walter. Family legend has it that she was his first wife's sister. The first wife was Castancia Abromovitch. She was also known as Constance and her surname has many spelling variations which makes it hard! Castancia/ Constance was born circa 1893 in West Ham, she married Walter, who was from Coventry in 1917 and her death was registered in West Ham in 1925. She left behind 3 young children - the eldest's birth was registered in West Ham in 1917 and the other 2 were registered in Coventry 1921 and 1922. I have found absolutely nothing that would suggest Sarah and Castancia/Constance were sisters. I have found  Castancia /Constance on the census records and there was no Sarah.
I cannot find anything on Sarah or much on any Kaupawich person that would fit. I've seen a couple of marriages for what might be sisters of Sarah but have been unable to find anything on any census records or even birth or death records. Hopefully someone might be able to help move me forward
Thank you

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Placket Family Hellidon
« on: Tuesday 12 February 19 23:33 GMT (UK)  »
I'm hoping someone can help me with some confusion I have in my tree. I have a Robert Plackett bap 14 Mar 1623 Hellidon who I had married to Ann Randolph circa 1649. I've been working on my tree for over ten years so I'm not sure where I got the wife's name from. I found on several other trees a Ann Randolph, married to Robert, she was put to have been baptised 8 feb either 1625 or 1626 in Little Houghton with father being William Randell Randolph and his wife Dorothy West Lane. This cannot be correct as that Ann Randolph was buried 28 Jan 1626 Little Houghton. Does anyone know the correct info for Ann Randolph or if she was even the correct wife for Robert? Sorry if my question is just as confusing as my request  ;) I have got lots of branches that I've worked on in regards to this being correct so I guess my lesson learnt is to make sure I double or even triple check info before adding it!
Thanks

Northamptonshire Resources & Offers / blisworth website
« on: Monday 11 February 19 23:52 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I am searching for records relating to ancestors from Blisworth pre 1800s and have seen lots of links for blisworth.org.uk. This website no longer exists, everytime I have tried to find something it comes up with domain expired. It looks like it had a wealth of knowledge and I'm disappointed I can't see it. I live in New Zealand so have to do all my research online. Does anyone know if the website has got a new address or if there is another one that would be just as good?
Thanks
Nikki

Wiltshire / James Drewett Compton
« on: Tuesday 19 June 18 23:18 BST (UK)  »
Hoping someone can help me with James Drewett Compton bap 22  Aug 1756 Rushall , Upavon Wiltshire. His father is recorded as Matthew Compton but the only Matthew Compton I have found was  baptised in 1694 in Ogbourne St Andrew's Wiltshire. Would it be likely as he would have been 62 when James was born. Also if it is the correct Matthew would anybody have a marriage likely for him as I dont have any info on who James' mother is.

Gloucestershire Lookup Requests / Booker and Keytes Ebrington Mickleton Quinton
« on: Wednesday 17 January 18 22:56 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
I'm hoping someone will be able to help me with a brick wall. I have a marriage between a Thomas Booker and a Mary Keyte in Ebrington on 30 Jan 1756. She was of the parish Queenton - I'm assuming that is Quinton today. Keyte is a prominent family from Ebrington and I wonder if my Mary is connected at all.

Thomas Booker was baptised 10 Mar 1724 Ebrington, his father was also called Thomas Booker. This Thomas Booker was baptised 5 Mar 1692 Ebrington and his father was William Booker. I have found a marriage between a William Booker and a Ann Kyte in Mickleton  on 2 Oct 1673. They had a number of children baptised between 1673 and 1692.
Ann Kyte has also been transcribed as Ann Rite and Ann Ryte. I have seen the Keyte name have several spellings -  such as Keyt and am wondering if anyone has info on my Ann to see if she may also have connections to the Keyte Family.
If anyone can hep in anyway I am most grateful.
Thanks

Northamptonshire Lookup Requests / Vaus/e Crick
« on: Wednesday 21 June 17 02:53 BST (UK)  »
I am wondering if anyone can help me with some info on the Vaus/e family of Crick.
I have James Vaus/e baptised 13 Dec 1684 Crick. Lots of others have put his father as Thomas Vaus/e born 1614 Crick. I am thinking this is highly unlikely to be correct as he would have been 70 when his child was born.

I have info on earlier lines but seem to have a  bit missing in the middle.
If anyone can help with this I would be grateful.

Warwickshire / Thomas Moy Coventry
« on: Monday 05 June 17 23:26 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I was wondering if anyone could help me with sorting through some quite confusing info on the Moy - Milner Families of Coventry.
The info I have at the moment is my relative Sarah Milner Moy - Father Thomas. There is no birth registration for a Sarah Moy but there is one in 1848 for a Sarah Milner. On the 1851 Census there is Thomas Moy born circa 1819 Coventry a Watch Maker, Children Sarah Milner Moy and William Milner Moy and House Servant Hannah Milner.
I assume that Hannah was actually the mother of the 2 children.
There is no record that I have found to give a marriage to Hannah and Thomas.
There is a Hannah "May" with matching birth year and place who was written as widow in the 1861 census living Garden Place Coventry, with William "May" son aged 15 and Henry "May" aged 2. I have only seen the transcription so can not be sure whether its a mis transcription or its the wrong line. There is a Death Reg for Thomas Moy in 1860 so that does fit.
To make things more complicated I have found a marriage record for Thomas Moy in 1840 to a Widow Priscilla Green nee Crockford. He is of the right age and was also a Watch Maker which ties in with the census.
I have found Thomas and Priscilla on the 1841 Census living Jordan Well, Coventry. I haven't found her on the other censuses but there is a Death Reg 1861 in Coventry for a Priscilla Moy.

If any one could help with the census records to see if I am on the right track  or even if anyone has info on the Moy Family in Coventry  I would be very grateful.
