Yorkshire (West Riding) / 1871 Census
« on: Sunday 25 May 14 18:21 BST (UK)  »
Hello

I have just been looking at the 1871 census that i have with Martha Harston born in Leeds 1819ish, she had a daughter Eliza, can anyone read where it states where Eliza was born please...thats if it is her as the second name reads Hannah not Harston.
I can see the last few letters are field, the other children were born in Wakefield but i am sure this is different.
Martha disappears after 1871 ...but  i believe she remarries..several times...Eliza just vanishes
would like to find deaths for them both so i can close their trails.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post

Regards

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / Yorkshire/Lancashire mix
« on: Friday 01 November 13 18:32 GMT (UK)  »
Hello
I have just received a birth cert for William Jackson born 1849, his parent are John Jackson born Stalybridge, Yorkshire around 1831, I thought his mother was an Ann Smith but, his birth cert states maiden name of Ann is Jackson?. I cant find any marriage.
This has thrown me out, I cant find a 1841 census, I know John was a stone mason as his proffession carried down to William, & i know William was born in Leeds.
I have the 1851 census, this states Ann was born in Leeds.
This is a Lancashire / Yorkshire mix, so posting on both boards

Thank you for taking the time to read my post

Hello

I am trying to trace the family of the above..i believe he was born in 1847 in Hull, his father also a John.
There is only the 1881 census i can trace plus a marriage to Martha Carter in 1877 in Seacroft Leeds.
Not sure if i have asked before but as this is a new board perhaps i might get lucky
