Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / 1901 lookup ASHBRIDGE
« on: Wednesday 17 August 05 03:38 BST (UK)  »
Thanks Bee and Tricia,

i have asked a relative about the family and mary ann's family was in NZ.
as he was a ship captain, he may have been away at sea.

walter gilbert crackles ASHBRIDGE b. 1876 and his wife MAry Ann Hart b. New Zealand 1877 might not be in the same house

would some kind person be able to look up for any mary ann ASHBRIDGE (nee HART) living with kids called Walter and George?

this is really hard, my grandmothers cousin is over from NZ and she is blind, so it is hard work getting her to help me. (she can't tell me who people in photos are)

any help appreciated,
sarah

The Common Room / naming traditions ???????
« on: Sunday 14 August 05 00:32 BST (UK)  »
What kind of naming traditions are there in your family??

i am trying to figure out why one of my relatives has the middle name of CRAWFORD. i am hoping that it can tell me about his relatives.

his name was albert Crawford KETLEY.
Crawford wasn't his mothers maiden name. so i am assuming that it was likely to be his grandmothers maiden name?? any ideas.

my dad's middle name was his grandmothers maiden name...(bryan Edwards KETLEY)

any ideas people???

or what are the strange naming traditions in your family.

love to hear from you.
