I suspect he may have married my GG aunt Mary Glover

Hi all, I'm new to this Australian research and I'm trying to find Peter Glover who I know was an elderly man in 1899.I'm not having much luck finding him.  I was going to try and find him on the Electoral Rolls but from what I've read they are only available at State Libraries. Could some kind person confirm this and if so could that kind person look him up for me. Many thanks in advance. I have the details going on a thread here

Hi all,
I am researching my Glover line and they all hail from Kerry, Ireland. During my research I found the following articles and I'm intrigued. I think I know where Peter fits into my tree but I knew nothing about the Australian connection. I have no idea where to start looking and would appreciate any advice. Many thanks

Could some kind person decipher the attached document for me. I suspect that the Walter Glover listed may be one of my ancestors. I would love to find out more about this man and hopefully confirm my suspicions. My Walter Glover was stationed at Bere Island, Castletownbere in 1822. I have no idea what the document is or how to delve further. Any advice would be much appreciated.

London and Middlesex / William Glover, 46 Altenburg Gardens, Battersea
« on: Friday 04 April 14 13:36 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find information on my Grandfather's brother William Glover. William was born in Tralee, Co. Kerry in 1890. He joined the Royal Engineers and served in WW1. As far as we know he did not return to Ireland after the war. I found his death record, he died in 1931 and was living at 46 Altenburg Gardens, Battersea at the time of his death. The death cert lists his widow as A.Glover. I have no idea whether they married in Ireland or Britain or if they had children. I'm not familiar with the records from Wandsworth so any ideas would be much appreciated.
Many thanks

Hi there,
I am trying to trace my GGG Grandfather Walter Glover who I have traced to Castletownbere, Cork in 1822. I am clutching at straws trying to get more information on him. I found a Walter Glover on the HMS Donegal which was in the area at that time. Can anyone help me decipher the attached. I am curious to know why Birmingham is in the observations column opposite his name. Could he be from Birmingham ??

Dublin / Drumcondra/Fairview/Clontarf Parish boundaries ??
« on: Monday 03 June 13 20:29 BST (UK)  »
Hi all,
I am looking for my Great Grandfather, Michael Evans, Tolka Cottages, Drumcondra. I found his marriage cert from 1902 in the Church of the Visitation, Fairview. Apparently Drumcondra was part of Fairview parish at that time. Their records have been checked back to 1879 and their is no trace of his baptism. I have been told that Drumcondra was part of St. John's in Clontarf prior to 1879 but he has not turned up there either. His parents are listed as James and Kate Evans on the marriage cert. Does anyone have any suggestions please.

Essex Lookup Requests / Dagenham records
« on: Saturday 26 January 13 15:25 GMT (UK)  »
This is a long shot as I have very little information to begin with but here goes anyway. I am trying to find information on my Great uncle William Glover. He was born in Tralee, Kerry, Ireland on 13 July 1890. He joined the Royal Engineers in 1913 and served in WW1. As far as I know he did not return to Ireland after the war but I think he settled in Dagenham. I don't know if he married or had a family. He may have worked for Ford in Dagenham. Anyone got any ideas where I might start looking. Are there any marriage or death records for the area online ?
Thanks in advance

Kerry / Castletownbere, Diocese of Kerry

Hi there,
I posted this in the Cork forum without success so I decided to try here. Does anyone have any idea where I might locate the marriage details for Walter and Catherine who are listed as parents here
http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/a303e20155788

The other entries refer to what I think is their daughter, who married in Killeentierna in 1848. Her DOB would be c1828 which fits in. Walter is listed as the father of the bride and his occupation is soldier ?? I've had a search done in the military records at Kew but nothing showed up.
