Leicestershire / churchgate leicester

I known this is deviating from the usual family history questions . I wonder if any of the older users of this site can remember the name of a model railway and hobby shop located on church gate Leicester near the city centre. It was situated on the left side of the street walking towards the clock tower. I remember it from the late 1950 s .I owned a Hornby double o train set at the time and I bought quite a few accessories from them. Thanks in advance

I wonder if anyone could produce a list of occupants of this street. It was situated off whitwick road almost opposite to the Victoria pub. I grew up there it was demolished around 1962. Any similar information on mammoth street and club row would be appreciated

I worked at midland red as a summer student in 1968 and 1969 at coalville garage. Many of my relatives worked there over the years its something I ve never forgot. Does anyone have any photographs of buses and personnel or any other information about this facility ?. It was opened in 1925 and last year (2017) I found it in a very poor state.

My late father Hugh Alexander Robinson (Hughie) 1912 to 2000 worked as a lorry driver and subsequently a weighbridge clerk at whitwick quarry. He stared in the late 1940 s and retired in 1977. I am looking for any photographs that any body may have of the quarry or pictures of their lorries. Information on past employees also would be welcome . I ve checked constantly on the old lorry sites and it seems nobody in our region owned a camera years ago .Thanks in advance Wayne Robinson
