Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / The General Cemetery, Nottingham - BOWN
« on: Wednesday 01 April 09 23:45 BST (UK)  »
Hi All
I have a Will of Reuben BOWN and in it he has left a request that a plaque be erected on the grave of his parents with the inscription as follows:-
"In loving memory of Ellen Bown(nee Wrigglesworth) wife of William John Bown died 1917 also William John Bown died 1948 from their son Reuben and daughter-in-law Linda also other sons and daughters including baby son Arthur"
Grave No. 17118 Plot 399-10-8 Vol 346
Is there anyone who perhaps lives closeby and would be willing to photograph this for me or just confirm the inscription and would there be any other information as we know nothing of  "baby Arthur"
Perhaps someone could point me in the direction of contacting someone at the cemetery.
Would appreciate any help.
Regards
Patricia

« on: Saturday 14 January 06 00:40 GMT (UK)  »
Hi
This is my 1st posting to Channel Islands Rootschat and was wondering if you could point me in the right direction for searching Birth records. I am researching for a friend FREDERICK DELAMARE born St Helier,Jersey abt 1876 - father's name FRANCIS and mother HARRIETT DELAMARE possibly CARTER. In 1901 Frederick was in Newport, Monmouthshire with his parents and married in Newport 1904.
If anybody relates to this family I would love to hear from you.

Bedfordshire Completed Look ups / VANSCHAGEN Look up request 1851
« on: Monday 16 May 05 23:44 BST (UK)  »
I am reposting this request as I did not include the address they were living at in 1861
and was wondering if you could look up 1841/1851 Census for the VANSCHAGEN family. I have only just
come across this family in my tree and have them in 1861 as living at 2 Hart Lane, LUTON
GEORGE FRANCIS ISAAC PAUL VANSCHAGEN born 1818 St Pancras, London - married
to Martha BATES nee (Fensom) born abt 1809 - Luton
Children
Charles born 1849 - Luton Age 11 in 1861
In 1871 Charles had married Sarah (born Luton) and had a son Henry born 1869
Luton.
There are a few variations to the spelling VANSCHAGANS , VANSCHAG(E)NS and also the same without the C.
As this is an unusual name any information would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Patricia
