Hi is it possible to clean and restore this photo please?
I can identify some of the people in the group but am particularly interested in the lady seated at the front in the white dress.
Thank you.

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Can this dark shadow be removed please?
« on: Tuesday 19 November 13 21:58 GMT (UK)  »
Dear All

I wonder if you might be able to remove the dark shadow from the top left corner for me please?

(If anyone wanted to try colouring he had very dark hair, blue eyes.  He wore black trousers and a green checked shirt.  The bricks were red and the door green).  This would be the icing on the cake though as just removing the shadow would be great.

Thank you so much
Anne

Dear all, I would be thrilled if this picture could be tidied up, and maybe coloured too.
Thanks for looking

Dear all
This is one of my favourite photos and I'd love to see some colour added please.
The mum's hair was very dark brown, she had brown eyes and her dress was navy, light blue and white stripes.  The carrycot was navy blue.
Bizarrely I think the blanket on the ground was also bluey/grey, black and white stripes.
Thank you.

Hi, sorry if this isn't on the right board  ???.
My query is that prior to the new format, you could glance down the LHS of a board and immediately tell which topics you'd contributed to.
This was particularly helpful for me because I regularly scan my local board and take several of the look-up requests with me to the records office.  I can (could) instantly see which requests I'd already attempted to answer.
Please can someone help me find this information within the new format or has it disappeared completely?
Thanks,
Anne

Suffolk / Clarence GOYMOUR of Worlingworth
« on: Saturday 11 June 11 12:43 BST (UK)  »
While I was searching the Worlingworth parish register today for another rootschatter, I found the following paragraph which I thought might be of interest to someone researching this family.

Clarence Goymour left Worlingworth on 5 April 1830 at the age of 19 years with 5/- in his pocket, to go to Gravesend to sail on board an Indiaman, with William Newson, Amos Allen, John Bridges and William Pettit (as recorded in the Worlingworth Committee Accounts Book 1806-36).  He seems to have arrived in East India safely, and spent about 30 years in Singapore.  For, his tombstone under the yew tree opposite the porch in south side of churchyard, states the he was "late of Singapore in East India", and after "an eventful life, his remains are interred in this his native parish".  He died aged 52, not 53 at stated in Register and on stone (for he was born August 1811) and was buried under the old yew by Mr Frederic French the Rector, on 22 June 1863.  It would be interesting to know something about his "eventful life" out in Singapore!  His tombstone records that "he was much respected"!

Please could SKS clean this old b/w photo of my dad with his motorbike and remove the creases and yellow blots (I think as a child I wrote on the back with a yellow felt pen!)

If anyone would be prepared to have a go at colouring it, I believe the bike was maroon and chrome.  Dad's shirt was green check and his trousers were black.  The doors in the house behind were always dark green as far as I can remember.

Thank you so much for looking and I look forward to any help you can give.
