United States of America / McClelland's in Philadelphia
« on: Wednesday 22 June 16 01:12 BST (UK)  »
Hi all

I'm researching the McClelland family who moved to Philadelphia from Bellaghy, Northern Ireland.

Does anyone have marriage details of Samuel McClelland born 1887 to a Anna Carmody 1891, estimated they got married between 1916 - 1920.

Samuels brother Martin (1885-1945) who lived in Radnor Pennsylvania married Bertha C, a German, maiden name not known in 1911

I have found these two families in various census'. If anyone has anymore information on the two wife's it would be a great help

Thank you

« on: Monday 02 February 15 15:47 GMT (UK)  »
Hi guys, this is a big ask to find info with the little information I have.

I am looking for a William Campbell born in Scotland in the 1860's - exact location unknown. He moved to Ireland in the early 1900's  and married a Rachel Speer/Spears on 13 February 1906 in Ballyronan, and had four children Matilda, Mary, William and Dawson. All listed in the 1911 census in Ireland.

If anyone has any information on Williams birth, death or parents it would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Does anyone have any marriage info on William Campbell and Rachel Spears married around 1906 in the surrounding area of Ballyronan, Londonderry. William would've been around 45 and Rachel 31 at the time.

Also if anyone has any details on Rachels parents it would be greatly appreciated, I found her Granada William Dawson on the census in 1901

Thank you

Derry (Londonderry) / Margaret Bradley from Desertmartin
« on: Saturday 14 July 12 23:05 BST (UK)  »
Hi guys, I'm wondering if any of you have any info on Margaret Bradley? Born around 1830/40. She can be found in the 1901+1911 irish census for the Luney Desertmartin. She had 3 children James, Samuel and George Bradley I don't know who their father was, or if Bradley was Margarets maiden or marriage name. Baptism/christening or marriage records would help alot, thanks (: Also is the 1891 census still in existance for this area, as they would be on it...

England / Hanslips from England, help?!
« on: Wednesday 11 July 12 02:54 BST (UK)  »
I want to find information about my gg Grandfather Mark Hanslip, the only information I have about him is that he is English (no idea where abouts) his occupation in 1909 was a "Millwright" - which I got from his sons marriage details. He did have a son named George (Edward) Hanslip, I do not know if he had any other children, if anyone could find if he did have more children I would be extremely grateful. I managed to find George in the 1911 census for Ireland at age 28 in Annaghmore Castledawson living with his wife Margaret Carmichael and occupation as a miner. Mark and George would probably be in the 1901 census for England, but I can't access it online. Aslo I'm quite sure the rest of the family did not move to Northern Ireland. George is buried in England while his wife is buried in N.I

If anyone managed to find any further info on the Hanslips it would be amazing!

Derry (Londonderry) / Wilsons in Ballyronan area
« on: Wednesday 04 April 12 15:22 BST (UK)  »
I am looking to find information about William Wilson and his wife Margaret, maiden name not known. If they have any siblings or who their parents were, or by any chance were they are buried at? They belonged to church of ireland, Desertlyn Moneymore.

Also I have found that they had 7 children: Martha (died in 1947), Margaret - no info except for 1901+1911 census'. William (married Maragret Bradley from Desertmartin and is buried in Moneymore), Mary (also buried in Moneymore), Sarah (married Jim Watterson, in the Woods/Lisnamorrow area), Emma (moved to Canada) and Catherine (married William Glendinning and is buried in Woods church graveyard, died in 1936)

I have found both Margaret and William in the 1901 and 1911 census, in the Ballyronan/Salterstown area, but out of their 7 children I could only find 6, I can not find Mary and I know she was living back then...

I have edited this as I have found further information involving the Wilson family, and I hope it may give anyone an insight which may help me further. Thank you, very grateful for any replies

Antrim / Relatives of Martin McClelland
« on: Friday 30 March 12 15:51 BST (UK)  »
I am needing to know if Martin McClelland has any brothers or sisters? He was born around 1818 not sure. Married Nancy Wallace who died in 1892 and he died on 10th April 1870. Lived in Portglenone Co Antrim of Mullinsallagh. They had 6 children together: Martin, Samuel Wallace, Robert, William, Elizabeth and Esther. So any ideas if he had any brothers or sisters? His father is John McClelland, no idea of who his mother is. Martin would be my ggg Grandfather
