Australia / Harry WILSON - WA
« on: Tuesday 17 March 09 11:09 GMT (UK)  »
Can anybody help me as I seem to have run out of ideas of where to look next.

My great uncle Harry WILSON dob Dec 1883 Stockport, Cheshire, England. I have him on the 1891c and the 1901c.  I have him on the 1911c  stationed at the Royal Naval Barracks, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. I believe he flew some of the first planes during WW1.

The last known fact of Harry is that he emigrated to Perth, Australia, where he managed an estate for Count ??. He married and had two daughters but who he married and where they are now I don't know.

Has anybody got a bright idea, please??? :D

Cheshire / Wilson of Stockport
« on: Friday 19 May 06 14:14 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for any Wilsons from Stockport.

William Noah Wilson was born 1843 in Manchester but moved to Stockport as a young man. he married Mary Bradwell and they had nine children.

Maurice Denis Wilson dob 1895 went to B.C. Canada and when his wife died he remarried a nurse called D'arcy and I believe they adopted a daughter.

Another son Harry Kitchen Wilson dob 1884 went to Perth, Australia and I believe he had a son (Richard??) and a daughter.

If anyone can help with these or the other children of William and Mary I would love to hear from you.

Cheshire / Beatties
« on: Sunday 09 April 06 15:39 BST (UK)  »
Hi everybody,
I hope I am in the right place ;)
Can anybody tell me something about Beatties (Not sure of the spelling)
Was this shop in Birkenhead or Liverpool?  Is it still there?  What did it sell? And, best of all does anybody know who owned it?? Any snippet about the owner/s would be gratefully received as they are supposed to be distant relations of mine and I'm trying to think/work laterally in the hopes of finding a Charles Taylor dob 1860 8)
