Hi,

I’m looking for the parents of Donald COGHILL. I don’t know much about him but I do know he was married to a woman called Ann (surname unknown) and that they had a son called William. All of the info I have on William is below:

WILLIAM COGHILL
Born about 1807 in Caithness. Australian newspaper states he was a native of Wick
Immigrated to Australia sometime before 1841
Married Elizabeth Ann Foster in Melbourne, Australia, on the 29th Nov 1841
Died in Grafton, New South Wales, Aus in 1869

William’s death record lists the names of his parents as Donald Coghill and Ann. I’ve tried looking for Donald and Ann but I can’t seem to track them down. If someone can help me figure out who Donald’s parents were I would be very grateful.

I’m trying to help a friend with some family research but I seem to have hit a bit of a dead-end and would appreciate some help.

I’m looking for the parents of Catherine PURVIS. she was born abt. 1795, possibly in Chirnside, Berwickshire, Scotland. Sometime around 1813-14 she married James Young and gave birth to a son John Young in Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Northumberland, England. According to my friend she died on the 16th of September 1835 at Berwick-Upon-Tweed.

Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m trying to help a friend with their family history and was hoping someone here could help?

I’m looking for the identity of Frizwith Collier’s parents as well as any additional info you may find.

According to my friend, Frizwith was born about 1795 in Cricklade, Wiltshire. Around 1818 she married Robert Jordan and was recorded living in Longcot, Berkshire in 1841. Apparently, she drowned on the 29th of April 1857, aged 62.

GEORGE GUNN SINCLAIR
born: 23 JUL 1817 Wick, Caithness, Scotland
Died: 19 APR 1899 Halkirk, Caithness

I believe his parent's names were Alexander Sinclair and Helen Gunn.

Hi all,

I’m interested in the woman referred to as Heni Pioi in the following article:

As the article states, Heni lived in Waimate North with her husband Hare Napia and sister Ruia. If Heni and Ruia are the people I assume they are their maiden names would be SINCLAIR.

Can anybody possibly give me a bit of info about Heni and her sister Ruia? Were there any others living in Waimate with the Pioi name?
