Canada / Edward BLAKEY, Born 28/07/1843, Blackburn, Lancashire, UK

Hello,
Something of a wild goose chase possibly.
This gentleman's obituary in 1904 states he spent part of his early life in Canada. Certainly there are references to "BLAKEY" in Saskatchewan in the early 20th century which may be family related. However, there is evidence of an Edward BLAKEY, aged 19, arriving in New York aboard the Margaret Evans on 07/08/1862 from England which may fit the profile of a young man destined for Canada. I wonder He died in Blackburn 30/11/1904.
Could anyone help please with any Canadian references??
Thank You,
BAC3
