The Common Room / Differing details on the same certificate?
« on: Tuesday 22 August 17 21:35 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find my friends mother.

On my friends birth certificate the details seem normal but on his brothers (who passed away as a child) the mother's name is Veronica Barbara Anne SOUTHERN, but against the informant column it says V.Thurston Mother below the fathers name. Surely these are the same person?

It is all a mystery anyway as this person doesn't seem to exist and lists address as a home for unmarried mothers and babies in London, she wasn't around much longer after the two births

Angus (Forfarshire) / Rennie family of Kinnell
« on: Wednesday 14 December 16 18:24 GMT (UK)  »
Hi all,

my Scottish geography is pretty poor so i'm looking to see what people think of a possibility in connections.

I have Andrew Renney (Rennie) baptised to Andrew Rennie and Jean Cowper 4/3/1698 at Kinnell. The youngest sibling i have found is Isobel baptised 23/5/1695 also Kinnell.

I have looked at others research to ascertain the ancestors of Andrew senior. The concensus seems to be that he was born about 1675 and his parents were James Rennie and Agnes Graham(e) but James married Agnes and was also baptised in Kilsyth (near Cumbernauld?)

Any thoughts as i cannot find a baptism for Andrew Senior

Thanks

Thanks in advance

Caernarvonshire / Bodaelog, Trefriw
« on: Tuesday 29 March 16 22:11 BST (UK)  »
Hi,

i am doing research for a friend. He remembers his grandparents living in a large house in Trefriw which we thought was Bodlondeb (there is a long old thread on this address which i have read but none fits in immediately)

On the 1939 register the family is a Bodaelog which on google maps is the road which my friend believes was part of the garden of Bodlondeb.

This is what i have of the family

Thomas Owen Jones 1893-1944 married Edith Evans 1905-1980 (she married a Joseph Gibbs later)
They are both in the Trefriw cemetery and a photo is on billiongraves confirming address
Edith's father i believe was John Evans 1870-1939 married a Jane ? 1864 - 1936
They also have a headstone in Trefriw cemetery confirming address

i was wondering if they fitted into the Bodlondeb family at all or if anyone new anymore about them. I know the descendant info

thanks

I am wondering if anyone knows the name of the retreat for unmarried mothers before The Croft which was founded in 1966?

Thanks

The address on his childs birth certificate shows 4 Melrose Avenue Nottingham. I am looking for Dennis Colin Consterdine to see who else is with him. The mother of their child is perhaps Veronica Barbara Anne Carmichael Southern (this is the bit i can't find proof of)

Thanks

David
