Ireland / Mystery MANSFIELD.family
« on: Yesterday at 10:49 »
Hi I've been following the wrong  ancestors for
Frances  Mansfield  who married George FUllagher

1911 census says she was born in Ireland

Have now seen baptism from 21st Feb 1887
# correction this is birth record .

Can anyone read mothers maiden name  Frances M....?

On her marriage certificate in Liverpool 1906 it says that  her father was George Mansfield a traveller

One of the witnesses is Louis Mansfield
 # correction should be Louis fullager the other witness is a cousin of George's daughter of his aunt Eliza

Daughters Ann B 1828
Maria born 1833
Son job 1856
Baptised at Darton all saints

In 1851 they are with children Ann Charles Marie George Jane Emma jennet & Robert

But William is named as George age

45

There is another george Harrison age 45 coal miner lodging with them.

Jennetta is a widow with 7 children in 1861 shopkeeper + in 1862 to Martyn SHIERS. So I presume William HARRISON died between 1856 and 1861

Can you help me find any evidence of her parents

There is a possible sister Martha

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / .WW1 Photos marked with stylus
« on: Wednesday 10 April 24 16:58 BST (UK)  »
I'm watching a program
Britain in Focus

The big about WW1 PHOTOGRAPHY was fascinating

I just saw explanation of a camera which had a shutter + pen so dates + places could be marked  stylus onto the negative

That must be a useful way of dating g photos

The photos of a woman called Emily Margaret Broome were very impressive . She was a commercial photographer..+ took a lot of group shots of soldiers

I wonder if anyone has any of her photos

United States of America / WORLEY of Kentucky
« on: Tuesday 09 April 24 22:20 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find out more about Isaac WORLEY 1804 -1869
+ his father Willis or Wiley WORLEY 1775 - 1824

Isaac was a farmer  born Arkansas wife Elizabeth b.Kentucky
With at least 11 children born Kentucky
Age range baby to 23 years on 1850 census

His 2nd wife was the girl next door Margery DAVIS + he had 3 more children with him

Father could be the Wiley WORLEY on 1820 census from whitely Kentucky
But if so his wife Dorcas B 1786 and daughter Abigail B 1810 are not on census with him as there is only one female listed as age 16-25
There are 2 males over 45
1 male age 26-44
2 males between 10 and 15
Which could be 1saac and Willis 1806
+ 3 males under 10 I'd like to find their names
If it's correct census

I'm interested in knowing if they would have been soldiers at any point
