Technical Help / Problems with Findmypast, but only on one ipad
« on: Sunday 01 October 17 12:38 BST (UK)  »
I am having problems with FindMyPast on one iPad. Home screen is fine but when I try to search for anything I get a strange screen as per photo. Site is working fine on my husband's iPad when I log in. Have tried shutting down and restarting my iPad but this hasn't resolved it. Any suggestions as to what the issue might be.

Scotland / How would I obtain a copy of a Scottish will?
« on: Sunday 13 November 16 22:11 GMT (UK)  »
I would like to obtain a copy of a recent Scottish will. The person died in Glasgow in 2014 and as far as I know probate has been completed on the will. Can anyone advise what the procedure is for obtaining a copy of a Scottish will? Seems very straightforward in England, but have drawn a blank on internet searches about how to go about this in Scotland.

This is a photo of my gran Mary Clotworthy nee Saunderson who was born in 1894. If the child is who we think she is then she was born in 1906. Would welcome some opinions as to the ages of both sitters/year photo was taken.

United States of America / Wesley Clotworthy (1890- ?)
« on: Thursday 01 January 15 12:32 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for information and in particular a death entry for Wesley Clotworthy born c. 1890 in Ireland. Wesley was my grandfather's brother. He was the son of Samuel Clotworthy and Annie Culley but was born before they married and I cannot find a birth record for him in Scotland or Ireland ( under Clotworthy or Culley/Cully. He appears as their 11 year old son Wesley Clotworthy in the 1901 Scottish Census (Glasgow) with birthplace Ireland and that is the only concrete information I have other than a composite photo in which he appears in uniform along with his other brothers ( taken I assume before or during WW1).
According to information received in the 70's from Wesley's younger brother Hugh Clotworthy who settled in Ballston Spa,New York after WW1, Wesley also went to the USA and died there around 1927/28.
