I thought it used to be possible to edit posts, but that feature seems to have disappeared.

Can someone help with the text please?

Many thanks.

London and Middlesex / Westminster images disappeared from FindMyPast?
« on: Sunday 06 September 20 23:15 BST (UK)  »
I just went back to have another look at a marriage in Jan 1851 and all I can find is a transcript, but the full image used to be there.  It was at St Pauls in Knightsbridge.

Does FindMyPast no longer have the rights?  Are they available anywhere else?

The Common Room / Being 'sealed' at FamilySearch
« on: Thursday 13 February 20 05:34 GMT (UK)  »
I've just been playing edit ping-pong at FamilySearch with one of my ancestors.  She (not my ancestor) kept adding an additional wife Helen, but Helen must have been married to a different man with the same name.  She (not my ancestor) detached Janet because she thought my ancestor was married to Helen at this time.

She just mentioned that my ancestor is sealed to Helen and his two other partners, so isn't sure what to do.

I can't find where to see the 'sealed' status - is that only available to members of the LDS?

Free Photo Restoration & Date Old Photographs / Probably England - clergyman?
« on: Monday 13 January 20 00:13 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking through a photo album which a cousin has loaned to me.

I think this photo is of a clergyman who was born was born in the 1820s and lived to his eighties.  Many of the photos are as old as this but the men are in suits rather than a coat like this.

Would this be the attire of a Church of England clergyman at this time?

Thank you for your help.

The Common Room / LIVING people on FamilySearch. I am ropable.
« on: Wednesday 27 November 19 04:40 GMT (UK)  »
During the day I've noticed some inaccurate busybody has been editing my ancestors, and not always correctly.  They've just added my living parents and marked them as 'deceased'.

I've gone to edit this and it doesn't happen immediately - FamilySearch has to review it!

I'm not happy at all.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / Sir Robert Swift of Rotherham
« on: Saturday 28 September 19 13:17 BST (UK)  »
A thread about Sir Walter Blount reminded me of this fellow and his profile at FamilySearch.  Is it just me, or do others think it's very unlikely that in addition to his time in London and up at Hatfield Chase in Yorkshire that he was darting all over England?
