Yorkshire (East Riding & York) Lookup Requests / Census Lookup request!
« on: Tuesday 20 September 11 22:20 BST (UK)  »
Hello all,
I was wondering if any of you kind fellows have the time to look up my maternal great grandparents on the census for 1911. Great Grandfather Joseph Henry M (Meredith)Robinson born 1904 Sculcoates and Edith Egan also 1904 Sculcoates I am trying to find parentage and siblings. I have been waiting months for my mum to see if they still have their marriage certificates but I think eons will pass as she is very busy and I am stuck! Seems wasteful to order one if they already have it!
Thanks in advance.

Armed Forces / advice please?
« on: Sunday 24 December 06 01:22 GMT (UK)  »
If i have a persons army roll number is it possible to find out information about when and where they served?
The number begins T/........ i believe that is for transport???
If the person is deceased can others have access to records??
Also are there any ways in which you can find out about leave they had taken whilst serving in the 2nd world war up to 1950's ?
I recently was told he may have been bitten by a venomous snake whilst serving - would that help?

i cannot find any other info on this person but know he served with a lancashire regiment possibly the fusiliers! i believe he was in India and Burma

if i can get some info about when he was in the army it may help or maybe not but you never know until you try!

does the hundred year rule apply to war docs like the census?

Leicestershire Lookup Requests / barrow on soar - Barby Family
« on: Friday 07 July 06 17:02 BST (UK)  »
HI I am looking for some information on Barby Family living in Barrow on soar.  My Great Grandfather was Andrew Barby Born around c1895.  I am having some difficulty finding a name for his wife.  It was either Maud or Florence but i have no maiden name.  I know that some of their children were born in Barrow on Soar and the last 4 of them in Hull.  The circumstances of the move are not clear but it was some time around early 1920s before my nan was born.  Any help would be greatly appreciated as it will give me a starting point to go further backwards.  Any suggestions on where to look in this part of the country would help too as i have mainly been concentrating on lancashire families up until now.  thankyou! Lancashire Lookup Requests / Can anyone help me find Joseph Rigby
« on: Friday 19 May 06 16:37 BST (UK)  »
:P Is there a very kind person out there who can look up a Joseph Rigby and his wife Phoebe/Phebe.  I have a little limited information from the 1881 census which states that they are living at 56 Elliott street, possibly in the tyldesley/bolton area.  Their children are Mary Augusta (my gggrandma), Lena, Gertrude, Percy and Ernest. I also require any information about the wife in this family her maiden name was Phoebe Hobson reason being that i have a letter written to her by a female cousin M Hobson and i want to know the connection.
many thanks if you can help.
