Rutland / Owen Wilson Lyddington born 1873
« on: Tuesday 05 January 16 12:39 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to trace the where abouts of my paternal grandfather in the 1901 census. He was born to George and Emma Wilson registration in Wilbarston. Lived with parents 1881 census, but is elusive on the 1891 and 1901 census. He had two brothers both born in Lyddington Arthur George in 1882 and Henry William in 1887. He married Maud Barrow in Lambeth in 1902, had a daughter Maud Emma in 1905 moved to Walthamstow/Leyton by 1908 when his son George Owen was born, then later another son (my father) in 1911. But his where abouts in 1901 appears to be a mystery. In the 1891 census I have found a Owen Wilson who was a servant, therefore no family information on census, and cannot confirm this. If any one has any connection to my grandfather or can find a census that could be him I would be very obliged as I feel I am hitting a brick wall with this research.
Many thanks in advance,

Canada / Looking for more info on Robert Stanley Furse 1910 London
« on: Tuesday 22 December 15 19:24 GMT (UK)  »
Robert Stanley Furse arrived in Canada from Livepool on the Montclare April 11 with other Barnado children. He was born in London in 1910 to Walter Charles Furse and Suzanne (nee Twyman) his mother died in 1912 West Ham. His father remarried in 1916 and they lived in Walthamstow, London England. His parents had 4 children brothers Walter, Frederick and sister May. His first placement when he arrived in Canada was 8/8/1924 Howard Gardner, R2 Norwood Peterborough, he was still there on 02/06/1925. Then 26/7/1926 he was with Chas McConnell, Belmont, Peterborough. This also states JR Darling for these dates. Then he was employed at Lakefield Cement Works 18/11/1927. It states address unknown for dates 31/01/1928 and 10/09/1928. His record shows he was completed 14/01/1929. His grandmother Mrs Twyman signed his Barnado papers as next of kin, but his father was alive then, don't know if he was in orphanage before sailing to Canada. Any information on his life in Canada after his emigration would be gratefully received.  :)
