Dear Wonderful helpful fellow rootschatters!
I was hoping to visit Dublin with my cousin from Canada but due to family commitments it now wont happen til 2009 at the earliest! We were hoping to trawl the city and find this information for ourselves. 2009 seems so far off and so I was hoping that someone could help us find the graves and some information slightly sooner? No rush - they've been dead a long time and not going anywhere!
We were wondering if anyone can help us find the graves of the following and let me know what is written on the gravestones etc (I do not have the plot numbers - sorry!):
Matilda Pim (second daughter of the late Joseph Pim Esq). Matilda died on 27th June 1864 and was buried at Mount Jerome.
Matilda Pim widow of late Joseph Pim died 8th Jan 1880 and was also buried at Mount Jerome.
I have written to the Cemetery - unfortunately without reply. I was wondering if some wonderful person could see if they are buried together - maybe even Joseph is buried there too? (Joseph possibly died in 1849 - though I have no proof/evidence of that etc info from websites).
On the LDS website and other sites there is alot of info about Joseph, his wife and family. I have been able to check most of it and although the information is correct the dates are about 25 years out. (The dates I have given above are correct and from death certificates).
I am also interested as all the information submitted to the sites give Joseph's wife's name as Caroline Matilda Beeho - though I can only find evidence of her being called Matilda. I have been unable to find their marriage so her name isn't from that - no-one seems to have any sources to point me in the right direction. I suspect Joseph Pim and (Caroline)Matilda Beeho m in Dublin in about 1824.
I wonder if their graves will shed any light?
Thank you for reading this post and any assistance anyone can give me.
Best wishes
Anne-Marie
