Essex Lookup Requests / Great Baddow births/marriage
« on: Monday 24 July 23 00:09 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the birth of William Jervoise/Jerviss around 1660/1688 and his marriage to Elizabeth around 1700/1705 in or close to Great Baddow.

I know William died in May1743 and was buried in St Mary the Virgin, Great Baddow. Elizabeth was also buried there in September 1741.

They had at least 6 children, all baptised in St Mary the Virgin:
John 1706, Elizabeth 1707, Lucia 1710, Hannah 1712, Philip 1714.
I suspect there would have been a William born before John, but can't find his baptism.

Any help would be much appreciated.

London & Middlesex Lookup Requests / Strand/Lambeth look up requests
« on: Tuesday 15 November 22 23:13 GMT (UK)  »
According to the 1851 census, John Jr Fryar (of Friar/Fryer) was born about 1815 in Strand, Middlesex. Presumably, since he is listed as John Jr, his father was also John Fryar. I would like to find details of his baptism.

I would also like to know if he is on any other censuses. He would have been single on the 1841 census (and maybe living in Lambeth where he married in June 1841), but be with wife Sarah in 1861/71 etc. if still alive (I found a possible death in 1867, but not sure). In 1851, he was a waiter in St Giles, Cripplegate.

Thank you for your help!

I would like to find the birth and parents of John Balls who married Mary Frost on 25 Oct 1779 in Great Finborough. He was from Onehouse at the time of marriage, so was probably (though not necessarily) born nearby. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

Suffolk Lookup Requests / Onehouse/Great Farnborough missing children
« on: Sunday 04 July 21 20:34 BST (UK)  »
I am trying to find the children of John Balls of Onehouse and Mary Frost of Woolpit who were married on 25 Oct 1779 in Great Finborough. The problem is that too many children had parents named John & Mary Balls around the same time, so I am trying to narrow down the area.  So far I have found:

Son William, christened 5 Jan 1782 in Onehouse (parents just John & Mary Balls but right area).
Son John was christened on 18 May 1783 in Onehouse (parents Mary Frost & John Balls).
Daughter Alice was christened on 3 Feb 1788 in Great Finborough (parents Mary Frost & John Balls).

I would like to find any other children born between 1780 - 1781, 1784 - 1787, or 1789 - 1799.

Any help would be much appreciated!

I am trying to find the Mary Frost that married John Balls on 25 Oct 1779 in Great Finborough.

FS has a Mary Frost that was christened on 18 December 1753 in Suffolk. Is it possible to find out where that christening took place; if it was near Great Finborough perhaps?

Thanks for any help.
