« on: Thursday 05 September 19 16:39 BST (UK)  »
I have tried in vain looking for a marriage between Joseph Marshall bn.1830 in Southwark and Elizabeth Sykes bn.1830 also from Southwark. In the 1861 Census they are living with their children and Elizabeth is listed as his wife.Im beginning to believe they were never married for whatever reason but would just like your help to see if I have missed something.

Please can anyone help me with this..its a bit longwinded but I will try to keep it as short as possible:
I found a bill for a grave in City of London and Tower Hamlets Cemetery. Joseph Marshall bought the grave on 22,2.1868 when his wife Elizabeth died. He paid £5.5s.0d.
After his wife was buried there there was 3 others. The grave No: 5456 but when I tried to research it was told not found. Would be very interested to know if it is indeed still there. Found this on Ancestry.
thanking you in advance

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 2nd Marriage? or not.
« on: Wednesday 03 October 18 17:27 BST (UK)  »
Looking for a marriage between William Marshall and Elizabeth Crabb. William divorced his 1st wife Annie Hunt in 1899. He was born 1860 in Southwark. He paid £36.0s.8d. for his divorce and I think already living with Elizabeth at this time. 1901 they were living in Southwark. Tried looking for this 2nd. marriage but just cant find it If he went to the trouble and expense of divorce surely he would have made an honest woman of Elizabeth! In 1911 Elizabeth is listed as a widow and states she had been married for 24 yrs which was stretching the truth a bit. Anyway would appreciate any help.
Thank You

Family History Beginners Board / john white

Wonder if anyone can help me please.Looking for the death of John White. He was born 1811.In the censuses he put his birthplace as Woolwich Kent or St.Giles in the fields. He married twice once to Selina Roberts in 1837 and after her death he married Sarah Beatty in 1860. He was alive in the 1881 census but in 1891 Sarah was a widow. As White is a very common name it is very hard to find the right John White.
thank you

Family History Beginners Board / Eliza Ann Moysey

Been trying hard to find this person who married Edwin White. All I have is a marriage allegation on the 8.8.1887 at St. Micheal Bowes Wood Green which does don't give me much info. at all. Just says she is of full age and over and lives in the area. She is living with Edwin [who now calls himself Edward] in the 1891 census in Gamuel Road Walthamstow. In 1901 they are no longer together and Edward is living as a single man although when he marries again in 1903 he states his a widower! So rather confusing...tried to find death record of her but no results. Would very much appreciate it if anyone could give me any leads.
thank you
