Family History Beginners Board / Place of birth

Im trying to trace my great grandfather,whose name i know,but cant find where he was born to further my search in records history
So my question is if i cant find where exactly he was born where do i go next,as there are some people with same name.
I know where & date he was married,but no details of birth.
Could someone please give me some suggestions,so i can move forward.

Shropshire / Best free cencus

I wonder if anyone can point me in the best direction to look at local to shropshire,& ludlow in particular cencus,also births deaths& marriages please on some free sites,just to kick start things im stuck on.
Any feed back would be good.

Im trying to continue my search for the name fury from 1876 backwards.
I know they lived in England( shropshire) wales..Knighton,and also had connections in Galway Irleland.we think they came to u k to Herefirdshire in the 1800sfrom Galway.
Any help would be greatly received.
