Renfrewshire / records of British aluminium company Greenock
« on: Sunday 30 November 14 21:11 GMT (UK)  »
Would anyone be able to help me find any records for the British Aluminium Company in Greenock for the early 1900's, as i beleive that my Gt Grandfather Walter John Green was works manager around this time, but I would like to confirm this as a certainty. The only other thing that I know about him, is that he lived at 17 Baker Street Greenock.
I do hope that someone may be able to help,

Kind regards,

Derek

Suffolk Lookup Requests / burial look up request for john green and wives.
« on: Sunday 23 November 14 22:09 GMT (UK)  »
I have come to a compete stop on my research for my gg granfather John Green, who was born in 1791 in Needham Market, and is listed as died bosmere around January 1879. I visited Needham market recently to look for his grave, or that of either of his wives, 1st margaret, and second Sarah who was 35 years his junior, all with no success. I now understand that burials took place at nearby barking, and wondered if anyone would be kind enough to help me in my search for the graves or any inscriptions, that may help me in my quest to trace my familt further.

Thank you

Renfrewshire / Sarah Green, Duncan Donald Greenock
« on: Tuesday 21 January 14 20:28 GMT (UK)  »
I would appreciate any help in searching for Sarah green born 1885 in Ireland but lived in greenock from the age of 2 at 17 Baker street. Her parents were Walter John Green and Emma (Keeble). I am trying to confirm:

1. Sarahs marriage to whom I beleive was Duncan Donald, who was a shipyard foreman and stood 6' 7" tall. (They lived very close to Morton F.C.)
2. Sarahs daughter Jean birth date or year, and Jeans marriage to a person who is only known at this stage as John!

Jean had a sister named Sadie, who continued to live in Greenock after Jean and Johns departure to Chesterfield in the late 1950's.

I understand that the information I have is limited, and that I may be asking for a lot of information, but would really appreciate any snippet anyone maybe able to offer.

Thank you Derek

Derbyshire / My Gt Grandmother doest exist until she's 28!
« on: Wednesday 31 October 12 21:30 GMT (UK)  »
Please can anyone point out where I am going wrong.
I have been trying to trace my Gt Grandmother born EMMA NEALE in Brimington in 1863. She married George Leader, and then went on to marry Willian Rice. I know from her Marriage to George Leader that her fathers name was James Neale, but all my searches back never show a James Neale with a daughter named Emma! I do know tha she remaned in Brimington all of her life, until she died in October 1959.

Really appreciate being pointed in the right direction.

Cheshire Lookup Requests / Old Chapel Dukinfield - Lookup Offer
« on: Sunday 28 October 12 22:32 GMT (UK)  »
Hello Heather,

Your offer is very generous, and I'm afraid my request may be a little too extensive.

I would love to have any details of Pillings buried in the chapel at Duckinfield, but I'm sorry to say i have no idea of how many of them thee may be,...if any at all...I have only today found out that they were born, and originated for at least 3 generations in the late 1700's to early 1900's in Duckinfield.

I will try to get more detailed information before your visit in the hope that you can help.

Kind regards,

Tracey
