Cork / Looking for the grave of Alexander Tolmazoff
« on: Sunday 09 May 21 14:07 BST (UK)  »
I'm trying to find the grave of Alexander Tolmazoff. He died 19 October 1934 in Mallow hospital and according to family lore he was buried in Mallow, but I don't know which graveyard.
He was Russian Orthodox, but his wife was Roman Catholic.
I've already tried Mallow Heritage Centre and irishnewsarchive, no success.
May be someone has access to local newspaper archives and can check for me if there are a death notice or obituary. Any information is very appreciated.

Wexford / Burial of Annette O'Neill (nee Daly)
« on: Sunday 09 June 19 11:28 BST (UK)  »
Need help to find one more grave, please. According to the Irish Times from July 16, 1929 Annette O'Neill, Clonatine House, Gorey, Co. Wexford, died on July 14, 1929. “Annette O’Neill, eldest daughter of the late Charles and Maria Daly, of Sanhgvill (not clear), Kanturk. R.I.P. Funeral today (Tuesday) after Requiem Mass, at 11 a.m., at St. Michael’s. Gorey”.
I applied to Gorey Parish, they checked their records and didn’t find any record of the burial. May be just the Funeral Mass was at St. Michael’s. Does anyone have access to old papers of Gorey and Wexford? May be there were obituaries or announcements which might give exact location of the burial.

Waterford / Grave of Prof. Paul Muratoff
« on: Monday 18 February 19 11:06 GMT (UK)  »
Looking for the grave of Prof. Paul P. Muratoff (possible spelling Muratov or Muradoff). He died on 5th October 1950.
According to the death certificate he died at Whitechurch House, Cappagh, Co.Waterford. I suppose he was buried nearby. He was an authority on Byzantine and Italian art, and the author of a number of works on the history of art.
What cemetery it could be? And could you please recommend me a historical society at that area?

Handwriting Deciphering & Recognition / Please help to read a letter
« on: Friday 13 April 18 13:44 BST (UK)  »
It's a big handwritten letter from 1960s, first page is written clear enough, but then there are places I can't read. I hide names and some personal details, they don't matter for the sense. Hope you can help.

Tipperary / Trying to find the grave of Zenaide Burke, nee Bashkiroff
« on: Friday 18 August 17 21:21 BST (UK)  »
Her grave should be in Ireland.

According to publications in press she died on 14th October 1996. Funerals took place on October, 22 to Tunbridge Wells Crematorium, England. But Crematorium says that shortly after the service her remains were removed. They don't have records by whom and where.
I suppose that her remains were sent to Ireland in Glenkeen graveyard, but she is not mentioned in Records from Glenkeen http://tipperarystudies.ie/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/Glenkeen%20Gravestone%20Inscriptions%20reduced.pdf   May be they are not full, they are made in 2004.

Her husband Seamus Burke (Tipperary TD, 1918 – 1938) is buried in Glenkeen:
James A. Burke B.L., Rockforest, Roscrea died 10th June 1967 aged 74 years

Her daughter is in Glenkeen as well:
Natalie Isabella Burke
born 17th January 1930
only child of
James and Zinaide Burke
died 12th December 2012

I found an old topic about the genealogy of the Sumarakov-Elston genealogy (Zenaide is from this great family): http://forum.alexanderpalace.org/index.php?topic=3004.0  Her grave is mentioned there, but no location.

Where can it be?
