Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / John William Swallow -1896

Hi I'm looking for help finding out what happened to my great x 2 uncle John William Swallow, he was born 1896- Pocklington, York to Ada Swallow, father unknown.
1901- Resides at West Tadcaster workhouse with mother and siblings.
1911- Ferry Fryston Pontefract, he was adopted by family friends Robert and Hannah Pinkney.
1915- He joined the army,
regiment numbers 22333 Kings own light infantry Yorkshire.
341298 Royal Engineers.
46217 Lincolnshire Regiment.
1919- married Violet Corkett at Hertsfordshire.
1922- Deserted his post and returned home to parents, according to newspaper article he was presumed dead untill then as no contact whilst serving abroad.
Then he disappears, I cannot find him anywhere. His wife Violet is living with another man from 1929 onwards so hes not there, I have checked all family members and I cannot find any death etc no trace at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated please, have been looking for quite a while now.

im looking for information on George Henry costins born around 1862 in newport monmouthshire but resided in Cheltenham most of his life, i have no birth certificate nor baptism. I suspect his mother was a Elizabeth Costins born 1826 to James Costins and Hannah Gold but with no proof of his birth as of yet i obviously cant be 100% sure on this. According to his marriage certificate he was illegitimate so no father listed. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated, i have been stuck on this for years! i am also looking for birth and death information on suspected grandfather James Costins born around 1800-1806.
