I am looking for a death record for Elizabeth Watkins. Elizabeth came to Australia from Ireland in1855 with her sister Jane. Elizabeth married Joseph Watkins in 1861 Sydney, Australia. Joseph died in 1874. Joseph and Elizabeth lived at Raglan St, Waterloo. In 1886 Elizabeth was still Elizabeth Watkins. I can't find a death record which is definitely the Elizabeth Watkins from this family. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Allison Terry :)

I am researching Daniel Pollock who married Agnes Mair in 1812. The marriage was registered at Avondale Scotland. I am hoping to find out if Agnes was the daughter of Alexander Mair and Agnes Gray.
Any information would be very much appreciated.

Family History Beginners Board / James Allison born Strathaven, Lanarkshire
« on: Friday 06 October 17 05:50 BST (UK)  »
I am researching James Allison who may have been born circa 1806. He married Agnes Mair who was born Lanarkshire.
James and Agnes had 3 sons James Mair Allison, Hugh Allison, Alexander Allison and a daughter Agnes. They settled in the Coolah district. James died in 1868 at Dubbo and his father was James the mothers name isnt on the death record.
I was just wanting to know if James Allison snr is buried at Oakey Creek Station as his son James Mair Allison and some other members of the family are buried there. I would be grateful for any other information about this family. I know Hugh and Alexander settled in the Moree and Warialda district.
Kind regards,
Allison Terry  :) :)

Australia / Llewellyn Richards
« on: Wednesday 20 September 17 08:11 BST (UK)  »
Llewellyn Richards was the son of Charles Henry Richards and Jane Eliza Woolley.
Llewellyn was born 14th July 1900 . He married Esther Eliza Lawrence in 1920 at Burwood.
Llewellyn died on 14th June 1971 at age 70yrs.
Llewellyn had a sister Ruby Ellen Richards who married Leslie Speechley in 1917 at Balmain. Their younger sister Dorothy died in 1923 at age 20 yrs. There were two other brothers Percy and Alfred (Arthur). Percy married Margaret Shaw in 1920 at Canterbury. Arthur died in 1941 aged 45 yrs.
I would like to know if anyone knows anything about this family such as Jane Eliza Woolley being born in Orange NSW. I cannot find a birth record for Jane who would have been born abt 1870.
Her death certificate is in the name of Jane Richards, can I guarantee that the information on the death certificate is correct when the Australian cemeteries index information isn't completely correct.
Look forward to a reply to help solve this puzzle.
Kind regards
Allison 😊

Australia / Eliza Jane Woolley
« on: Saturday 09 September 17 00:55 BST (UK)  »
I am researching Eliza Jane Woolley born 14 November 1874. Her parents were William Phillip Woolley and Eliza Woolley (born Theabold). Eliza had a family with Charles Richards. There children were Ruby Ellen Richards b. 1888 Burwood she married Leslie George Speechley 1917. Percy James Richards b. 1891 Burwood he married Margaret Shaw 1920. Arthur Alfred (Alfred Arthur) Richards b. 28th October 1895. There were twins Rosamond and Richard b. 1897 d. 1897. Dorothy Elsie Florence Richards b. 1902 d. 1923. Llewellyn Charles Richards b. 14th July 1900 married Esther Lawrence 1920. Eliza Jane Woolley death record is Jane Richards , she is buried at Enfield St Thomas, she died in 1904 age 30 years. I haven't been able to find a marriage record for Eliza Woolley and Charles Richards, I am thinking they may never have married.
There is another Eliza Jane Woolley that I have found to be born in 1874 as well with the same parents. This Eliza married Daniel Joseph James in 1892 Burwood. Eliza Jane James died 14th July 1932 and the parents are William and Eliza. Death notice for Eliza James says late of Mascot.
It is confusing that there are two women with the same name and the same parents. If anyone else is researching this family and knows what the connection could be. It is possible that one of these ladies is a relative that has been reared with the same family and this is why the same parents are listed for both.
I look forward to a reply.
Kind Regards
Allison Terry
