Hi my dad was stationed in Malta for 3 years around 1950 would anyone know how I can find out anything about his time in the navy especially the naval base in Malta?

my family lived in Malta for 3 years from 1951 my dad served with the Navy and was stationed there, the 3 sisters went to nursery and naval School, I am visiting Malta and wondered if I could find any trace of them but do not know where to begin, so any help is appreciated.
