Denbighshire / Deaths of Thomas & Harriet Farrell
« on: Thursday 30 March 23 12:08 BST (UK)  »
Hi looking for deaths of Thomas & Harriet Farrell both born around 1877/78. They were living in Denbighshire in the 1921 census. The children came to England in the late 1930's but Thomas and Harriet remained in Wales. My friend did find one death for a Thomas Farrell in 1942 in Neath Port Talbot but not sure if it's right.
Thankyou for any information

Denbighshire / Farrell family Wrexham 1911 census
« on: Wednesday 29 March 23 17:13 BST (UK)  »
Hi I have a family in Wrexham 1911 census,
Thomas Farrell & Harriet Farrell. They have 6 children wrote down on the census but two of them are stroked through with red pen .Thomas aged 3 and Annie aged 2. Further along it says 6 children born alive and two died. Does this mean they died before the census was done and shouldn't have been added by their parents. I have looked at births and deaths and the ones I have come up with died at 0yrs so not sure if they are right as no parents mentioned.
Thankyou for any information.

Caithness / Mary Mackenzie b 1858 Latheron Caithness
« on: Tuesday 24 January 23 17:48 GMT (UK)  »
Hi whilst looking on the 1921 Census I noticed
my great grandmother Mary Sutherland nee Mackenzie was born at sea. I know nothing of her family but do know the Sutherland's originated from the Orkney isles so not sure if her mother was crossing over to the mainland from Orkney and gave birth to her on board ship. Could anyone throw any light on this please and what occupation would they have been doing in 1858.

Ireland / Charles Mcdermott b 1795c Ireland- Marriage
« on: Sunday 08 January 23 01:41 GMT (UK)  »
Hi i am looking for a marriage between a Charles Mcdermott b 1795 C Ireland, he married a girl called Sarah ? who was also from Ireland. It doesn't give a place name on the UK censuses.
Their first born Mary was born in Lancashire in 1834 so it was probably before that. On the 1841 census there was a lady called Walsh living with them aged 60, I am thinking maybe this could have been Sarah's mum. Sarah was born 1806.
Any info would be gratefully recieved.

Yorkshire (West Riding) / joseph longden b 1871 Carbrook Sheffield
« on: Monday 12 December 22 23:43 GMT (UK)  »
Hi trying to find some info on a Joseph Longden b 1871 Carbrook Sheffield. I have him on the 1911 Census living in Chesterfield with wife Priscilla, only they never married, she just took his name. His occupation is down as coal miner / now blind.
On the 1921 census he is still in Chesterfield but down as a blind street merchant. Apart from these i cannot find anything else about him. His great grandson said he used to go up and down Chesterfield station busking. Any info gratefully welcome.
