Nottinghamshire Lookup Requests / Shireoaks, St. Luke's Churchyard, Samuel SPRIGGS b. 1841, d. 1874
« on: Thursday 19 February 09 03:21 GMT (UK) »
I have recently determined that my GGGF, Samuel SPRIGGS, was killed in a mining accident at Shireoaks Colliery in 1874.
Could SKS check to see if he is buried in St. Luke's Graveyard? Or elsewhere in the area.
Do any other SPRIGGS appear in the burial lists? Wife, Mary Ann, died 24 Nov 1871 Worksop; son, Levi, died Apr 1872 Worksop.
The family appear in the 1871 census as living in Worksop, St. John ecclesiastical district, at #7 Smithurst's Row.
Thanks in advance,
David SPRIGGS
