« on: Sunday 31 July 22 19:17 BST (UK)  »
Hello all.
This is for a relative so my information on this family is limited, sorry. Many years ago I was asked to do a tree, which I did but very basic. My subscription to all the sites has expired & I know I must renew however I was hoping that someone might be able to fill in the gap that has been asked for please.

Joseph Rose b 1866 M Annie King b 1868    daughter Annie Rose b 1897 D 5/1/1962 .
Annie Rose (b1897)  M James Cooper (b1892) All come from Southwall Newark.

Annie Cooper (nee Rose) death cert. (5/1/1962) has Derek Rose for registering the death.

Who is Derek? Where does he fit in the tree?

James Cooper & Annie Rose had a daughter Dorothy b. 6/6/1922.  d ?/2/1988

Thank you for looking

Kent / Access to newspapers
« on: Wednesday 13 October 21 16:55 BST (UK)  »
Hi All,
Has anyone access to Sevenoaks newspapers please? I'm looking for information on Josiah Allen a fly carriage driver who died 4th Q 1870 age 34. He lived in Westerham (New Street) with wife Fanny & his family. I have record of an insurance payment dated Nov. 25th 1870 so the accident would be before this.
I just wondered if there was any information giving details of what happened.

Thank you

Sussex / Allen 1841 please
« on: Wednesday 26 May 21 09:30 BST (UK)  »
Good morning all,
Having been working backwards in 1851 I have Josias Allen \(Lossie Allen) also (Louis)/ both wrong age 15 with sister Ann age 22  - Schedule 117, piece 1636, folio 320 pg 5.
1841, I have piece 1105, book 8, pg,20 Head of house Walter Allin (Walter Allen) but I can't find Jossias anywhere he would be about 5 so should be on a census somewhere. Ann is there which is only a guess it's the same Ann. I've tried just putting in Allen but can still not find him.
I've tried Familysearch, & FreeBMD but these Allens are hard to find.

Sorry to leave this with you but I've got to go to work now, back later. Thank you

World War One / Is this him? Lionel Albert Archer
« on: Tuesday 14 July 20 14:17 BST (UK)  »
I have been looking for years but keep coming to the same answer so is this my granddad?
Lionel Albert Archer b 1896 Tring Hertfordshire
Private WO329 Reg No. 55137
Manchester Regiment.
That's the bit confusing me, Manchester Regiment. He came from Hertfordshire I have a photo of him & his cap badge is clearly visible, two stripes on his sleeve which I believe (could be wrong) that he was injured twice.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Thank you

World War One / New Zealand Army
« on: Wednesday 08 July 20 09:29 BST (UK)  »
Good morning all,

Don't know if I'm on the right page for this but can anyone fill in the gaps?

Herbert Roy Hunt b 1897  2/3017  (known as Roy)
Embarkation 1916 A-Howitzer Battery Ammunition Column (Egypt)
Occupation signwriter.
Wounded on 15/6/18  casualty list no. 881/2

My question is, where was he wounded (country).?
I know of a convalescent hospital at Grey Friars Hornchurch, where there was a NZ base/barracks as well could he have been sent there?

The reason I think he was at Hornchurch is that my aunt, who lived in Hornchurch married him in 1920.

Thanks all
