Essex Lookup Requests / lift death chelmsford
« on: Wednesday 10 August 16 21:54 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I have another query please for any one who has access to Chelmsford records
I am looking for the burial records for Frederick Arthur Hills who came from Lewisham but was killed in an accident in a lift shaft whilst working at LLoyds bank in Chelmsford. This was in July 16th 1971 However I cant find a burial for him anywhere and I am also lost as to when to start looking. There probably was an inquest so he may not have been buried immediately but I have looked in Chelmsford and Lewisham without success so Helppppppppppp please

Hi Can anyone find me a death article for Frederick Arthur Hills who was killed in a lift accident in Chelmsford 16th July 1971 whilst working in LLoyds bank. I have searched here in Colchester and also on line but have only managed to find a 5 x 1 item in the daily express whi only gives me the info we have on here Surely there should have been an inquest so why cant I find it "help".................

Hi People
I started this thread on London and middlesex as thats where my info led me to believe I needed to be..................However

I am looking for a death for Frederick . He was born in bromley Kent but died in the early 1970s
Family memories seem to think he was killed in a freak accident involving a lift. Whether he was working as an installer or involved in an accident I don't know The people of London traced him and said he died in September 1971 and it was in Chelmsford.  Family memories also say that the accident made the national papers so it must have been something dreadful.  I have tried searching local papers here in Colchester although they had no copies of the Essex Chronicle here
I haven found anything yet . I appreciate rumours in the family are often exagerated but can anyone point me in any other direction   :(
I Think I need TMO on this one I think he was cremated not buried but where I dont know.

Regards
Ronnie

Hi
I need some help please  I am trying to find a newspaper entry for the above gentleman round about 1970  He  was supposedly crushed by a lift and family memories seem to think the death wasnt registered but it made the national papers Any ideas where to start my search please I know he was born in Bromley in 1938 and he married a mary barrett Which Local papers would cover either Bromley in Kent or Lewisham where he may have moved to
Thanks
