Recently I have had help via Rootschat succesful searches for Edward Evans of Manchester
Unfortunately I cannot find any details of his father Henry Evans b.Manchester who was a Stonemason
I am guessing Henry was born c.1778.
1st. marriage was to Mary Emiley (widow) 24.5.1803 at Manchester Collegiate Cathedral.Edward their son was b.1806 Manchester. In 1808 Mary Emiley died.
2nd.marriage was to Mary Ann Atkins 2.1.1812 at St Johns,Cirencester & from this marriage there were 6 more children.Henry 1814,Grace 1815, b.Cirencester. Calvin Claudius 1818 b.Manchester,Mary Ann 1820,Emily1823,Hannah 1828. I have a Henry Evans Snr. deceased in Manchester 1838.XX579
I need to find out if at all possible who Henry Evans parents/siblings were. The area in Manchester where he was Spinningfields was a really bad slum area as far as I can tell during 1700/1800s
& I wonder why he would want to travel back there from Cirencester where he was possibly carrying out his work as a Stonemason. Any help with this would be appreciated.
