Ancestral Family Tree DNA Testing / possible dna match for Great grandfather but should I get in touch
« on: Saturday 23 July 22 14:53 BST (UK) »
when my grandfather was born his birth cert had a father on it but I have never found a marriage
and he was born 1890 by 1891 census his mother had reverted to her maiden name and so his as well.
she had 2 more children using her 2nd name and giving a father as George+ her maiden name father was always put as a Master Baker no man ever appeared on any census or electoral roll.
When I did a DNA test the name on my grandfathers certificate turned up he was also a master baker
came from Devon like my Great Gran and was married.
I feel this is probably him but dont want to upset anyone and just knowing is really enough for me and none of the matches have been in touch so do you think its best to just be happy with knowing
think I have probably answered my own question writing this
