I wonder if there is a local historian who might have knowledge of newbridge farmhouse near newbridge village terregles there is hopefully a photograph somewhere before it was demolished. I have been searching for some years here's hoping ,STOOP.

This is a repeat request regarding the afore mentioned farm I have been trying to locate a photograph of the farm house, without successI have been given photos of the current buildings that I do appreciate but still hope there are photographs somewhere .stoop.

What remains of Cleughbae hamlet eg. Farmhouses, cottages. I only know of the farm just along side the a75.Is there an available history of Cleughbrae, thanking you in anticipation.

Florry was my great aunt she was born in 1889 at Keighley. Her father was Arthur Smith and her mother was Sarah Ann Bland ,she was living with her parents in 1911 it does appear that she had been married and divorced by then . I cannot find any trace of her marriage or divorce so I am left scratching my head can anyone help. Thanks stoop

Two of my great aunts were married to the following people. MARGARET kerr was born in 1896 in Cargenbridge,Troqueer Kircudbrightshire. She died in 1988.she married John Doig in 1929 Maryhill Glasgow. JOHN was born in Forfaf he died in 1979 in Glasgow.Jane my other aunt was born in 1887 cargenbridge she died in 1970 address Mallaig Road Glasgow, she married John James Johnstone in 1912 at Maxwelltown Johnwas bornin 1886 in Closeburn Dumfriesshire he died in 1961 Glasgow.  I would like to know if they had children .Thanks for your patience if you have read all this stoop.

I have been trying for several years to access photographs taken of the family of James Kerr and Sarah Phillips Pattie his wife they farmed at Newbridge Terregles they had at least seven children. They had the farm fro m approx. 1851 till 1941. Here's hoping  stoop.

James kerr was my gg grandfather he farmed Newbridge farm in Terregles. His wife was Sarah Phillips Patties. He was born in the year 1811 in Annan.They had a number of children one of which took over the farm when James died in 1874 at home. The purpose of this post is to ask if anyone has knowledge of photographs of James and his family thank you.

Many years ago in approximately 1958 a friend of ours emigrated to canada  he left dumfries where he had lived around the corner from the annan Road.
