Can anyone help with marriage details for a Mary or Margaret marrying at this church in this year? In 1861 she was living with a Samuel Franklin in Islington and they both moved into the workhouse in November 1861. They were not married but she used the name Franklin. There was a child William aged 12 in 1861. They are not on the 1861 census. The information comes from the workhouse admission details but unfortunately the writing is indistinct so I have no married name for her but could be LANE or DANE. If there is a transcript available for these marriages, I would go through it to look for a match.

Have traced my Mudge line back to  baptism of James Mudge in Gidleigh on 28/3/1731. His mother is shown as Alice Mudge but no father shown on the transcript so I am assuming he was illegitimate, although have not seen the original baptismal entry. Have drawn a blank in finding an Alice who looks a possible candidate from a nearby parish; the only one I have found is in Marytavy in 1707. Can anyone with local knowledge suggest a way forward, please?. I have tried the main three online resources so am hoping that there may be some parishes whose records are not on line.

Seeking to identify father of Edith Ellen T Bolster who was born 1905, illegitimate dtr of Ellen Elizabeth Bolster. The t in her name stands for THORNBORROW which is likely the putative father's name. (The 1911 census shows her as a "niece" to the head of her family, Alfred Bolster, when in fact she should be grand daughter). I could send for the birth cert but there is no guarantee that  the father's name will be on it. I would dearly like to find his Christian name. Thornborrow seems to be north country, Cumbria/Durham/Northumberland in origin and I cannot find any in the Surrey area from 1901/1911. I do have the "short" birth certificate from 1905 but this has minimal information. I will look at the 1905/6 baptisms at Kew for St Matthew Redhill where other family members baptised to see if she appears there
Any other suggestions?

Margaret gives her age as 28 on the 1911 census; married as Margaret Ann Adams and living at "Old Slaggard". She married Albert Adams of Mostyn in 1907 in Liverpool and gave her age as 24 so both events consistent with being born in 1883. Her marriage shows her father as Thomas Jones, labourer.
Her place of birth in 1911 is given as Mostyn although she is living in Liverpool at the time of her marriage.
Can anyone tell me whether there is a baptism for a Margaret Ann c 1883 which would give mother's name?
I did send for a birth cert but that came back with Moses Jones as her father which was later proved incorrect when the marriage cert arrived. I want to go back through the years on the Census but cant even find them in 1901.
