Cornwall / Harry K Wills (1894?)
« on: Tuesday 24 April 18 16:29 BST (UK)  »
Please can anyone find a BMD or christening record for Harry K Wills. He appears on 1901 and 1911 census returns as the son of Tom Wills and Phoebe Helen Profitt of St Minver with ages of 7 and 17 respectively. He further appears to marry Rosetta Richards, Bodmin, Jun 1930 and may be the Harry Wills who died at St Austell in 1934.

Both BMD and christening records exist for his three siblings but I can find nothing at all for Harry. Any help would be appreciated.

Cornwall / Prhtericke Wills (1622)
« on: Tuesday 17 April 18 12:10 BST (UK)  »
According to records Pethericke Wills was baptised at Bodmin on 26 June 1626, mother's name Tamsin. The same record set appears to link him with the death of a Pethericke Wills at Egloshayle in 1722. I can find no other records concerning him. Please can anyone identify any members of his family?

At the same time a "Pederick" Wills married Elizabeth Harrys in 1653 in neighbouring parish of St Minver. This is the only mention of him in St Minver PRs. Could he and Pethericke be one and the same?

Thanks in advance,

Keith

Cornwall / Trevelver, St Minver Highlands
« on: Thursday 05 April 18 10:53 BST (UK)  »
Hi folks,

Trevelver, once a minor manor house, now a farm, was inherited by a Mrs Yeo in the early 1600s and leased to the Silly family by about 1630. By 1799 Land Tax was being paid by one Petherick Wills. After his death in 1827 the property seems to have been occupied by members of the Beswetherick family, who were still there on the 1901 census.

Please can anyone provide me with more detail or put any more flesh on these bones?

Warwickshire / Birmingham burials and cremations
« on: Saturday 11 November 17 15:09 GMT (UK)  »
At birminghamburialrecords.co.uk biirmingham city council has published a database of around 1.5 million burials and cremations at municipal sites across the city, showing month and year of burial/cremation. Unfortunately they do not include precise dates and the records only extend to a single forename but it is still an extremely useful resource.

It does not include burials within church grounds

Warwickshire / Hanley Place, Guildford St
« on: Thursday 23 February 17 12:51 GMT (UK)  »
The main body of what was Guildford St., Newtown, appears to have been absorbed into Hospital St. after the mid 20th Century clearance. Please can anyone tell me exactly where Hanley Place was?

There is a clear un-named opening on the 1953 OS map directly opposite the end of Porchester St. Can this be Haney Place?

Warwickshire / Gutteridge of Austrey, c.1700
« on: Thursday 06 October 16 12:45 BST (UK)  »
William Gutteridge was born in Austrey c. 1700. He married Mary Taverner in 1720 and they had two children, William and Elizabeth, before moving to Coventry before 1732.

Parish records show the birth of a Thomas Gutteridge in Austrey about 1694 but neither the record of Thomas's or William's birth name their parents. Please can anyone find the parents to help me determine whether they were brothers?

I have the record of the marrriage of George Ashford (1887) and my first cousin once removed, Elizabeth Townsend (1887-1928) at St James, Ashted, on 11 Nov 1907. I have the birth of one son, George (1909-1986) but no more information. Please can anyone provide more?
