Can anybody out there tell me if "Waterloo Place" and "Waterloo Street" in Southwick, Durham, England are the same street please? Not to be confused with the two seperate streets in Bishop Wearmouth.
I ask because the first page of the census index says that "Waterloo Street" will be covered and I've been through the whole census booklet with no sign of a "Waterloo Street" but it has entries for "Waterloo Place" which isn't mentioned on the first page of the census book.
Then sometime around 1891 "Waterloo Place" appears to be missing from the census and "Waterloo Street" is named instead. But it's between the same streets in the census return as "Waterloo place" was in earlier census returns.
Can anybody confirm they are the same place or point me in the right direction for "Waterloo Street" in the 1861-1871 census, England
