I am trying to track down more information about my Gtx2 Gran's brother James Lewis James, born Merthyr Tydfil 1860 - married Mary Ann Thomas 15th September 1883.
Known children Lewis (b1885 Maesteg), David Benjamin (b1888 Merthyr Tydfil), Margaretta (b1890 Rhymney - later md Albert Maynard Boobyer), William John (b1894 Merthyr), Sarah Ann (b1896 Merthyr) & Daniel Thomas (b1898 Merthyr).
The 1911 census had James & family recorded as living at 61 High Street, Senghenydd - all males listed as miner (except Daniel).
I am trying to find out where families in Senghenydd were buried? I do not have a death date for James but found reference to James L James deaths in 1920 & 1921 that could be him. If I can find out when he died then I hope to search for an obituary in the local paper for further details.
If anyone can find James James death c1920 on some sort of burial register? If anyone could check that for me I would be very grateful.
To summarise
1. Where would families be buried in Senghenydd - what was the name of the cemetery?
2. Could someone check for the burial record there please?
3. Does anyone know the name of the local paper for that area?
Many thanks
