Looking for any relatives or friends of the above named gentleman and his wife Alice . Both are deceased.  Kenneth about 1989 and Alice in 1996. On the electoral rolls either one or both were living in Mosley St Southport between 1963 and 1994. Alice died in a nursing home in Southport.

Pembrokeshire / Elizabeth Benyon
« on: Thursday 12 September 19 11:42 BST (UK)  »
Hello.
I have come up against a brickwall with my great grandmother Elizabeth Tunney.
On the 1871 census she was aged 9 living with her aunty and uncle in Wallasey as Elizabeth Benyon born in Steynton Pembrokeshire in 1864. On her marriage certificate in 1882 ( I think ) her father is named as George Benyon ( deceased ). I appreciate the name Benyon may have many different spellings. Can anyone point me in the right direction as I can find no further trace of her or her mother and father in Steynton.
Regards,
David

Lancashire / Alice Tunney
« on: Wednesday 29 October 14 13:55 GMT (UK)  »
Ive not been on here for a couple of years. Had to give things a miss for a while. I am still trying to find out what happened to my mums sister.
Her maiden name was Alice Tunney born Liverpool 1920. Post war she worked in the Scarisbrick Hotel Southport. I understand she went to live with a disabled man in the area about 1950's or 1960's. Can't find any marriage or death although its an outside chance she is still alive. I have had an email published in the Southport Visitor with very little response and I have subscription to Ancestry. Apologies if this sounds familiar but I am revisiting this brick wall from a couple of years ago.

Lanarkshire / Michael and Janet Mooney
« on: Friday 10 September 10 18:03 BST (UK)  »
Hi everyone.
I am tracing my wife's ancestors Michael and Janet (when moved to England the name is down as Jane).
On the 1851 cencus they are living at 160 Main Street in the civil parish of Barony in the county of Lanarkshire.
First of all what town or city would this be and secondly does this road still exist? I doubt wether any of the housing exists but when would housing from that era have been demolished and would anyone know if there are any old photographs before it was demolished?

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards,

Dave

Renfrewshire / Michael Mooney

I am doing some digging for my wifes ancestors and have now traced them back as living at No 1 Spring Kell Street in Greenock. I am from Liverpool so I am not familiar with the area. Would any one know what the housing would have been like in those days and when it would have been demolished.
Also does anyone know of any photos of the street as it was.
Thanks

Dave

Lancashire / Elizabeth Benyon
« on: Saturday 15 May 10 17:36 BST (UK)  »
I have the marriage certificate (1883 to Hugh Tunney) of my great grandmother Elizabeth Benyon. She was born in 1864 presumably in Liverpool. The certificate gives her father as George Benyon (deceased).
I can find no trace of either her or her father on any cencus prior to her marriage in 1883.
I don't know if I am just missing something or they have never registered. Any suggestions anyone?

Regards,
Dave

Does anyone have any tips where I could find any street maps of the Toxteth area for 1840/1850. Preferably online but where to purchase them from if not available on line.

Dave

Lancashire / jamaica court
« on: Saturday 14 March 09 13:55 GMT (UK)  »
I have found a possible direct ancestor on the 1841 cencus called Alice Smith living in 'Jamaica Court ' in Liverpool. There are no numbers listed on the cencus . Could this be some kind of workhouse? Any one have any idea?
