New Zealand Completed Requests / Charles William and Winifred Eileen Dawson

The above emigrated to New Zealand in 1954 intending to live there permanently.

I have found an entry on Ancestry that lists Winifred as applying for naturalisation but can't view the entry as I only subscribe to UK version. Would anyone be able to help me with this?
Also info re husband Charles William Dawson.

Can anyone tell me what proof of identity was required to marry in 1853?

Or was it possible to give a false name and get married without any checks whatsoever?

Other Countries / Completed Argentina Birth and Death of Piers Kerr

I am trying to find evidence of Piers Kerr born 30 December 1946 in Buenos Aires. He was supposedly a twin who died young. The other twin survived.
I cannot find any birth or death but is it possible that he was born and died before either could be registered?
I have been told that the registration of the birth of his twin was delayed by 1 year for some unknown reason.
Can anyone help please?

Can anyone help with this query.

The Russell family emigrated to Australia on 27 March 1963. William Edward, wife and children Debra and One other.
On 28 May 1964 William Edward Russell aged 33/34 was accidently killed with his daughter Debra also spelt Deborah and on gravestone Debbie aged 3.
I have been trying to find out how this tragedy occurred but had no success
I have found they were buried in Burwood Cemetery and date of death as above.
I have tried Trove to see if there was a report of the accident and numerous other websites from resources page but can't find anything.
Any help much appreciated

Can anyone help me with this query.
I am trying to find the father of a Joseph Cartlidge who married in Nantwich registration district in December qtr 1863.
There were two Joseph Cartlidges born in Wrenbury in 1841. One was son of William and Mary and one was son of John and Mary.
One married a Mary ? but which one?
A daughter was born in 1873 named Margaret to one of them.
Has anyone got access to parish registers who can help me as I don't want to have to purchase the certificate.
All I need to know is occupation of Joseph Cartlidge and his father's name.

New Zealand Completed Requests / Passenger list 1958 Completed

Can anyone help with this query.
I have found a passenger list for William Michael Agar aged 58 and travelling from Auckland to Sydney and one returning two months later.
Now I know he married twice but on this passenger list he is accompanied by a Hazel May Agar who was aged 47 and married. This is not one of his two known wives.

Whilst I appreciate one should not assume, I think this looks like another wife. Its definitely not a child of his and it isnt a daughter in law as far as I have found so far.

I am assuming they were married as they would have needed a passport that would have had to be the same as on the passenger list.

I cannot find anything about this Hazel. She is not in electoral rolls nor can I find a death for her.

Can anyone help?

Leicestershire Lookup Requests / Death notice Kerr

I am trying to find any mention in newspapers  covering Leicester area of the suicide of Antony Joseph J Kerr whose death was in death index as December 1979. He was only 33 years old. His name was sometimes spelt Anthony.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

I am not sure I have posted on the correct board but I would like to know how to go about checking birth of twins in Rio de Janeiro between 1946 and 1950.
I have found them listed in British Nationals born overseas but not sure how to proceed.

Australia / Army recruit, Alan (Allan) Livesey b 1929 in Uk sent to Melbourne in 1952

Could anyone tell me if it was usual for army recruits to be sent to Australia in 1952.
I presume this was national service recruits.
I have found a passenger list whilst looking for an Alan (Allan) Livesey b 1929 in Uk. He is listed as an army recruit with 4 others with surnames beginning with L on a passenger list going to Central Army Records, Albert Park Barracks, Melbourne.

I have found him on ER 1963, 1968 and 1972 in Australia and it seems he married a Joyce Myrtle ??? who is listed with him but she is listed alone in 1980.

Any help much appreciated.
