Census Lookup and Resource Requests / All said and Dunne

I'm trying to find family of Kathleen DUNNE born during the third quarter of 1894. She is listed in the 1901 Census as living in London with her mother Emily DUNNE, a cook, who is aged 50. A Kathleen DUNNE aged 17 is in the 1911 Census as a niece and I'm hoping that the family she is living with might reveal Emily's maiden name (if she was indeed married).

Hi All

I have a couple who married Jun ¼ 1922 in Chorlton, Lancashire. They are:
Arthur Cuthbert WINSHIP born Jun ¼ 1892 Newcastle upon Tyne, Northumberland and
Jessie BARTRAM born Mar ¼ 1900 in Chorlton, Lancashire.

I would love to know the details of their parents and siblings.

One of their sons emigrated to South Africa hence my interest.

I'm hoping that one of you boffins will be able to find these two families.

Hampshire & IOW Completed Lookup Requests / Isle of Wight, 1871, Benjamin Warne

I would be very grateful for assistance with details of the the family of Benjamin WARNE born 1853 on the Isle of Wight. I can't find him on the FreeBMD site and he does not seem to be in the 1861 Census either, but he does appear in the index to 1871 Census. By 1881 he is living in South Africa.

I have a boy missing from the family records and would be very grateful for a check in 1861. Here is the known family:

Samuel GIFFORD, farmer at Durweston, Dorset
Flora GIFFORD, born BROWN, wife
John Phippen GIFFORD, son aged 5

I'm hoping that there is another son Alfred Samuel GIFFORD, aged about 9, living with them.

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Gowthorpe

Hi
I need help with a problem of a missing John William GOWTHORPE. The problem is easier to explain working backwards in time.

1881: He arrives in South Africa and applies for a licence to operate as a chemist. I think that he left the UK before the 1881 Census because I can't find him there.
1871: He should be on the Census, maybe apprenticed to a chemist?
1861: He should be on the Census, with his completely unknown family.
Dec 1858: I think that this is his date of Birth Registration at Driffield in Yorkshire.

Quite a challenge I'm sure, but I would be very grateful for help with this from one of you boffins.

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / 1871

I have found a family of interest in the 1881 Census through one of the children. However the father is a problem. Their mother Emma MALLINSON, aged 40 (in 1881), born in Stroud, Gloucestershire, is listed as a widow. Their youngest child Albert Edward MALLINSON, aged 2 was born in Romford, Essex, where the family was living in 1881. So the father seems to have died between 1879 and 1881. I'm hoping that someone can assist me with his name, age, occupation and place of birth from the previous Census.

I'm trying to find a couple who married in 1850 in Tynemouth and am hoping that they were in the 1851 census. They probably did not have any children by 1851.

They are:
James Paterson born in Scotland in about 1827 and a mariner
Elizabeth Ann Paterson born Marson

Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Edwards in Merthyr Tydfil

I need some help please.

I have:

Wyndham Rees EDWARDS, born 1885 in Merthyr Tydfil, who marries in M.T. in 1906
Sarah Ann WILLIAMS, born 1893 in M.T., who has a daughter
Edna EDWARDS, born in Fochriw in 1909.

Something looks wrong with the Sarah Ann story. 1906 minus 1893 implies that she married at 13 and had Edna at 16. I am hoping that the 1911 census might have more accurate details for Sarah Ann and that there might be other children in the family that I've missed.
