Lancashire Lookup Requests / COMPLETED. Father of the groom
« on: Friday 12 February 21 08:44 GMT (UK)  »
If anyone has access to Liverpool St Silas Church records I would be grateful for the name of the groom’s father and occupation and where the groom was living in the following marriage:
Robert Eyton-Jones and Ada Wright who married on the 16 August 1896 according to Family Search.
The details are not yet available on Lancashire on line Parish clerks.
Thanks for any help.

Cheshire / Opinion and help please
« on: Saturday 24 November 18 12:56 GMT (UK)  »
My great Uncle was born in Tryddyn in Flintshire in 1872. I have his birth certificate and can find him in sthe 1881 and 1891 censuses. He then disappears. I have recently received some old photographs and on the backs of 2 it says 'Arthur's Uncle Jack in Stockport'. I have found a John Edwards living in Stockport and his dob is correct except it has been mistranscribed as 27 Oct 1872 instead of 29 Oct.
Arthur was my father.
This means the name was changed from Adam to John/Jack. Adam's father was John.
Can anyone help with the house which has quite distinctive brickwork. I cannot find Adam/John/Jack in 1901 or 1911 and he could have been living elsewhere.
I haven't put this post in Flintshire or Denbighshire as yet.
Thank you for any help or suggestions.

Merionethshire / Possible relative
« on: Sunday 29 November 15 15:52 GMT (UK)  »
Following me spotting an address in my late mother's diary I wonder if anyone can help me clear up a historical mystery (at least to me)
My late Great Aunt was born Harriet Williams in 1888 at Penrhiw , Dolwyddelan.
She had a friend who I only knew as Annie Festiniog. The address I have found Erddig, 1 Bungalow,Penygwndwn, Near Blaenau Ffestiniog. The diary was used until 1997 when my mother died and the Miss A Williams's address as above was marked died. Two other items of help possibly is that Annie had a friend Pip (Phillipa?) and my brother remembers that Annie or a relative used to work or own the Johnsons the Cleaners shop in Ffestiniog.
I do not know her age but would guess her to be a little younger than my Great Aunt. There are too many possible to research any other way and I just wonder if anyone local can remember her.
The purpose is partly curiousity and partly to see if tying Annie into my tree helps my research.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Robert Eyton Jones
« on: Monday 02 November 15 17:04 GMT (UK)  »
I have found via Find my past that the above named Robert Eyton Jones married Ada Wright on the 16 August 1896 at St Silas Church, Liverpool.
Unfortunately it does not give any further details and I would be grateful for a look up to find Robert's
father and any addresses plus if possible the names of the witnesses.
I have checked Lancashire on line Parish clerks but it has not been transcribed.
According to the 1911 census Robert was from Wrexham and besides the 1901 census when he was already married I cannot find him in earlier censuses.
Thank you for any help

Does anyone know if Laura and Lowry can be the same name. I have now found 2 instances looking for a Laura when I have found a Lowry who fits.

US Lookup Requests / Coppins - New York
« on: Saturday 05 February 11 12:02 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I am trying to find out the middle name of a Richard B Coppins said to be born New York in 1852. According to the 1860 US census he was living in Albion,Oswego,New York - parents Richard and Mary Ann. I do not have access to the US census but this information is recorded elsewhere. I doubt if the middle name is actually shown in the census as I think it would have been quoted in the record I have seen so a 'look up' may be necessary.
Thanks for any help received.

« on: Monday 16 February 09 16:04 GMT (UK)  »
I am trying to help complete a tree without my friend who is 60 in May knowing .

My latest queries are:

Marriage 1913

Holmes  Frederick & Ann Cross  at Christchurch , Preston.

and

marriage 1880

William Strickland & Sarah Jane Ronson at St James, Pressall, Stalmine.

I could  do with knowing the fathers.
All parties have died - I have the dates of death for the recent ones.

Thanks
